We visited the Boardwalk Village during our trip to Negril in 2013. Friends of ours had already booked here for 2014, so on a whim we decided to join them. We are normally "cliff dwellers", so staying on the beach for a few nights would be a new experience for us. We're glad we did!
The rooms are spacious and clean, and just a few steps from 7-mile beach. The area of the beach the boardwalk is on is very pleasant. Hardly any "hustle" and just an all-around relaxing and happy atmosphere. We enjoyed laying back on our loungers and just watching the (few) vendors do their thing~mainly the lobster guys showing and grilling their daily catch. Of course the view of the Caribbean Sea is spectacular, and along with some good reggae music playing throughout the day, it was the perfect beach experience for us.
Another plus is that there is a mac/cambio on this property, which is very convenient.
The only complaint we have is no fridge in room. They are available for rent, but personally feel all rooms should be equipped with a small fridge.
All in all, this is a great location on the beach with any basics you may need right at your fingertips. Thank you for a memorable first time beach stay, see you next year!
