Very noisy parties at close to property on Fri and Sat night. Sounds like band is in your room. Did not stop until 3am. If you like sleep don't stay there.
Very good restaurant. All dinners great. Breakfast very good as well except they charge for coffee again after 1 refill.
Reception staff very lazy. They function below typical Jamaica speed.
Hotel itself is fine. Rooms are good.

Walking into your room it's quaint and the bathroom makes you want to jump into the bath or shower. Then when you open the curtains u have a great balcony with a swing chair. Very comfy but I would not want to be on the bottom floor. Then when looking around a room you miss our western conviences. Coffee maker, Ice bucket, feather pillows, comfy bed and a closed off bathroom because we all don't smell like roses.
The food at the Kuyaba Restaurant was really pretty good one of the better restaurants on the beach by far. Cross your fingers though for good service it's a 50/50 chance. There were a few times we were really unhappy with our service but there were also Times we loved it. DJ, Kamisha and the two at the front desk were great.
Overall we loved the food and we had a great time. Used the garbage can for an ice bucket lol but bring ur own towel instead of a deposit they were crappy. Overall we loved Nagril as an area but really I don't think I would stay at the hotel again.

We loved the tropical charm of this little resort, the rooms were clean, the beach was clean, we felt completely safe, great location on the beach, the staff everywhere were very pleasant and the food was delicious - recommend the lobster thermador! Loved sitting at the thached roof beach side bar to escape the hot afternoon sun while watching the beautiful tourquoise water - be sure to go for happy hour for 1/2 price drinks. Chillin back on the beach watching Jamaican life go by was great too. For the best jerk chicken visit Step-a-side who operates a street stand right across the street from Alfreds - mmmmmm!.

Room Tip: We stayed in a room farthest from the beach and it was great. I'm sure all rooms are good though.

Very expensive restaurant food. They charge you for coffee refills! Outrageous! The rooms are outdated and lack the following basic items, kleenex, luggage racks (means your suitcases are on the floor with who knows what is there), no hair blower, coffee maker, clock, phone, ice bucket, ice machine, no fridge unless you want to pay for it (and then they tell you they have no extension cords to put it where you want it placed), no side tables, patio chairs or table. What they do give you is lumpy pillows, an ancient tv (with one channel), leaking taps that run continually (both sink and tub), fan that broke down, rusty toilet and tub, and 20 year old macrame swing chair in the middle of balcony that wasted space. This is all for $100US/bucks a night, that you need to pay up front! I have stayed at better places in rural Manitoba for less and that gets less occupancy, and are in better shape. Have they not heard of maintenance plans? The whole place needs a good power wash cleaning including the restaurant decks. The place is located in a very noisy area, bring ear plugs (however, that doesn't always drown out the noise). The thing that we were fortunate with was the A/C worked! The housekeeping staff can only do what they are able to do, with the limited supplies provided. Beach towels not always available, as we heard the one washer and dryer had broken down.
