“Great Find in the West End”
Reviewed August 30, 2014

We were on our third day of our tour of the island and needed a place to crash for the night. We were directed to Seastar Inn by another property, which was full. The price was great. We enjoyed the Saturday night Reggae show and the meal was tasty. However, we waited a long time for our meals because of their buffet night....my sandwich was however worth the wait! Breakfast was continental, adequate, not too special, but the staff were....gracious, always smiling and friendly. The rooms were average, clean, everthing worked....that was important. All in all, an ok stopover.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on the ground floor....better view and access to the gardens.

Third visit to this fabulous place. I think the management and staff make it more relaxing and comfortable. This was the second time there with our 6 year old daughter, who after her first experience was looking forward to her second and a longer stay this time. We went from August 12-16 and wish we could stay longer. I enjoyed every second of my time there and is looking forward again for next vacation. I can truly say this little resort is filled with special people who ensure that your experience there is worth the time away from home. Chris, Francine, Okema (who my daughter adores and spent most of her time with), Clarol, Ms. Barbara,Kirk, housekeeping staff, chefs..loved the food..thank you all for the wonderful, friendly and unforgettable experience.See you next time....

Again we returned to our favorite spot on the west end. Chris and Francine,Okema, Clarol, and Randy...and everyone, thanks again for a wonderful start to our Jamaican experience. We were there July 24-27, prior to staying at a beach property. Henry was waiting for us outside the airport, as we had arranged for the shuttle, nice ride in..We received room 18, right above the pool.Very nice. This was the slower time of year, as capacity was down, but it didn't affect the wonderful service we received. Excellent place to explore the west end, especially on foot. This time we visited the Negril lighthouse, had burgers at Ahbee's, and spent a relaxing morning taking in the cliffs at Tensing Pen...and of course, don't miss the saturday night show/buffet at Seastar...thanks again all

Ever time we travel to Negril we always stay at a new place for a few nights just to test. The Seastar Inn passed the test! It's a bit away from everything and not on the coast, but it has everything you need as you explore the west end. Very limited parking in the gated lot, some more across the street. Room was decent, A/C was ice cold. Check-in was really quick and simple (just handed you a key).

The staff makes the hotel.. ALL FRIENDLY...Okema, Kirk, Miss Barbara, Miss Clarol, Tishawna, Miss Junie, Randy and Henry.. Everything was up to par.. the rooms, restaurant, the bar, the pool, the Saturday night show and karaoke! The grounds are well kept, very well manicured.. clean and full of vibrant foliage. I love, love the decor of the restaurant. Its not indoors, so its open to fresh air and natural light. Very beautiful. My two boys couldnt get enough of the open space to freely walk around! This place is truly awesome.Kudos, we will be back.

Room Tip: We had a total of 4 rooms. No compliants from our group. My family and I shared room numbers 1 and 2...

Seastar never fails to impress. The staff is amazing. They are friendly, competent and warm. The shows are great. The rooms are adequate but it is great to go to sleep with no noise from the road or the music next door! For a bit of an escape from the hustlers of Negril beach come to Seastar Inn for a fun time, great food and even better prices.

Chose room #20 from the reviews I read and was not disappointed. The posted photos do not do the place justice. Also chose this place because they have AC but i dont think we ever used it. We were very happy with our room and the location on the property. It was in the cut, so we had our privacy. The balcony and the sound of the fountain were fantastic to come home to after a long day of exploring. The foliage on the grounds were gorgeous. 420 friendly. Breakfast was simple- bread and cereal. I'm used to eating fresh fruit everyday on vacation, but you had to pay for it here. The dinner menu items were good. I found food in general to be a bit on the pricy side wherever we went. The saturday show and buffet was great experience. As far as location, it is a little off the path, but safe. We rented a scooter a block up the road which was key for our trip. Cabs here in general are expensive. They offered excursions, but we went the non tourist adventurous route and trekked everywhere ourselves via scooter (Jamaican style!!). They have a nice pool which i used once. We went to the beach most days. Booking, checking in and out, and arranging for transportation was easy. We were here off season, so it was a bit dead. But I personally liked it that way.

we really loved our balcony and miss it very much :)

Room Tip: Choose a room with a balcony.
