“Great Private Beach”
Reviewed April 14, 2014

Bird and Ochi Man from Negril Sun suggested that we would enjoy a day trip. During our excursion, we traveled to Rick's Cafe and enjoyed seeing the cliffs from the water. Afterwards, we had a little picnic on the private beach at Booby Cay Island. It was a very enjoyable day! Thank you to Bird and Ochi Man for suggesting...this day trip was the highlight of our vacation!

“Great snorkeling side trip”
Reviewed April 13, 2014 via mobile

We were staying across the inlet from Booby Cay and decided to snorkel across for a boo. Lots of sea life such as rays, octopus and 100 variants of fish. Once there, had the freshest lobster ever. Great spot. Someone needs to pick up a garbage bag but that's my only beef

“Grilled fresh lobster”
Reviewed April 11, 2014

We took a glass bottom boat to the island and had some fresh grilled lobster. The lobster was good and the boat ride but there isn't much else to do on the island and there are no toilets.

“Fresh lobster!”
Reviewed April 4, 2014

We hopped on Captain Mike's boat, did a little snorkeling and hung out on the beach on Booby Cay. You can buy a fresh, grilled lobster for $15-25, depending on the size and it's marvelous! Add a little Red Stripe and perfection!

“Take the Suzie Cruise to Booby Cay...just the best!”
Reviewed April 3, 2014

Ray (our "captain") and Conroy (his "crew") picked us up from the beach in front of our villa for the 20 minute journey out to the reef for snorkelling, then on to Booby Cay Island for swimming, relaxing, and a picnic to remember for the rest of our lIves! Conroy started mixing the rum punches almost as soon as we'd left shore, but there were also plenty of non-alcoholic drinks available for those that can't start at 11.00a.m.!! We knew that we wanted to have lunch over on the island, so Ray had been shopping for the occasion....that's the beauty of Booby Cay...you can take your own, or buy when you get there, or just visit without eating at all...its totally up to you (although I defy anyone to visit and not eat...the aromas are simply divine!) Whatever you eat will be bbq'd. If you decide to wait until you get there, that'll be lobster. Nothing wrong with that! But, knowing in advance that we'd be eating, our "captain" spoiled us and had brought lobster (which was kept fresh in buckets of seawater on the journey), King Fish, local wild chicken and breadfruit...all to be cooked on the communal BBQ that's waiting for anyone who wants to take advantage of it on this tiny island. So, having dived and snorkelled at the reef, we had plenty of time for swimming and relaxing whilst Ray and Conroy bbq'd our lunch for us. All we had to do then was find some shade, throw our towels on the sand under a tree, and enjoy THE best picnic ever! I don't think there's a better way to spend a day..let alone a Birthday...which it was for me! Ray's a great singer and philosopher, Conroy really knows his food and they are both just genuinely great people. If you're in Negril, a trip to Booby Cay is a must...and these guys will make your trip totally unforgettable. Look out for it..."The Suzie Cruise"...you won't be disappointed.
