Owner description: When hearing the words "tour company", most people picture the big, stuffy tour bus, packed with strange travelers. JuJu Tours is the complete opposite of that stereotype! We are an American owned company whose number one goal is to meet American standards. While practicing safety and maintaining professionalism is our number one priority, JuJu maintains a very laid-back "vibe" on all of our outings. Our tour guides are both knowledgeable and energetic American and Jamaican nationals. In order to offer our customers the best of both worlds, one female and male tour guide from each country attend all tours – dreadlocks, flip-flops and all. Every outing is completely private, for both big and large groups, allowing our guests to have a more intimate trip and customize the excursion to their liking. No other tour company on the island offers and delivers such personalized experiences. JuJu has over forty tours to choose from. Large groups, families with kids, couples - we have something for everyone. Amongst our array of different choices, both “touristy” and “off-the-beaten-path” excursions are available. Our primary mission, however, is to live up to our tag line “Jamaica Unleashed, Jamaica Uncovered!” Whether it be the secret cliffs to jump from, the limestone caves to explore or the rustic restaurants to enjoy a true Jamaican meal, we aim to help our guests discover Jamaica’s hidden charms and treasures. Proudly, JuJu is also the only company on the island that officially offers nightlife tours to the local dance clubs and reggae beach bars. We understand travelers tend to be hesitant about leaving their resorts, (most especially at night), and that is why two tour guides join all parties inside the venue and take them home at whatever time they choose. We have safe and comfortable vehicles of all different sizes. Roundtrip transportation, admission into all attractions, an authentic Jamaican lunch and beverages (yes, that includes booze!) are included with all tours. We also throw in a complimentary high-res photo CD of each trip for each customer.

“JuJu Tours is the Best!”
Reviewed November 25, 2012

We just returned from Negril and I am so happy that I booked our airport transfers and snorkeling trip with JuJu Tours. Angi and her team are the best! Our snorkeling trip with JuJu was the highlight of our vacation. We went snorkeling earlier in the week on the Wild Thing catamaran and that trip was insignificant compared to the experience we had later in the week with JuJu Tours. The private snorkeling trip cannot be beat!

I wholeheartedly recommend JuJu Tours for all of your excursions while in Jamaica. We can't wait to book another trip with Angi next year!

“Thank you Angela for making it a trip we will always remember.”
Reviewed November 13, 2012

There is a good reason that Juju is #1 in Jamaica. It is because of Angela herself. We have never been to Jamaica before and had heard that you cannot safely leave the resort. We chose Juju for several reasons. First, being from NY was a big plus, we spoke the same language. Secondly was the charity work she promotes for the children of Jamaica. Thirdly was the CD she provides you with of all the pics she takes for you. All the reviews I had read said that she responded to all questions quickly and thoroughly. They also said that she made them feel like they were family and that they had made a friend. I’m happy to say it is all 100 % true! Angela was patient with all my questions and happy to adjust the day to whatever we wanted to do.

This review is long overdue. My boyfriend and I arrived in Montego Bay, Jamaica on Sept 29th and stayed until Oct. 6th. We chose to do 2 very long days of tours instead of spreading it out over the week. Angela drove a long distance to pick us up in Montego Bay with local snacks and beverages. She took us horseback riding on the beach and in the ocean. An experience not to be missed! The company she chooses to deal with cares about its animals and Rudy our escort was very knowledgeable and friendly. Next we went snorkeling in Booby Cay. Capt. Seymour was helpful showing us many different sea creatures as he guided us underwater. Then we explored the caves which were very cool and a later a yummy Jerk chicken lunch at 3 Dives. Next stop was Ricks Café for the divers. Can’t see something like this most places you visit. Angie didn’t mind a stop at Margaritaville to get glasses and tee shirts either. My boyfriend had seen a Harley shop on the way and wanted to stop but it was closed. Angela found us another location on the Hip Strip!

On the second tour day we stopped at a cool looking church and there was a school there as well so we had the opportunity to give the school children all the supplies we had brought for them. O’Neill was eager to share about his country pointing out specific trees and fruit. He showed us a plant called shy lady that curled up when touched. We stopped other times when we saw a child along the way to YS falls and gave them Frisbee’s, toothbrushes ect. We liked what YS falls had to offer much more than Dunn’s for many reasons. First it is much less crowded. Second, NOT a tourist trap! Third, they really care about the environment and the safety of their guests. There is a zip line there as well. I have done this in Costa Rica where it originated so I was skeptical. It was totally awesome! You go across the falls and also down them on another traverse. I felt safe and comfortable with our guides. Climbing in the falls is fun and great for pictures. We got to soak for a bit in the warm mineral spring pools afterwards. She took us to Howie’s, another local Jamaican place to eat on the way out of YS. It was really unusual because it was pots of curried conch, jerk chicken and oxtail and of course rice and peas in pots cooking over wood fires built on cinder blocks on the side of the road. Very tasty!

Last stop was Lumiounous Lagoon. If you are anywhere near Falmouth it is a must! You go out in a boat with a rum punch in hand into the bay. The Capt stops the motor and he explains what you are going to see. There are micro organisms in the water that glow neon blue when disturbed. When you get into the water it is a shock at first because you get a blast of cold water then warm. No worries its shallow. When you move your arms in the water it does indeed glow! This is one of only 2 places in the world that do this.

Yes, Juju is a little more expensive than some of the others BUT…You have private personalized service. You are not just a number in a big bus with a lot of other people. You can stop whenever and wherever you want. I feel like I got to see the real Jamaica. You also get a photo CD with lots of pictures. It was exactly what we wanted. No need to look anywhere else...Juju has it all!

“Authentic Negril Experience”
Reviewed October 26, 2012

We had a fantastic experience with JuJu Tours on our honeymoon in Negril. Each tour we did was small and personalized, and we felt we got an authentic Jamaican experience as opposed to doing the basic tourist stuff.

We took several tours - some with Angi and some with Garth, who were both great. Each surprised us with an extra stop at something that wasn't on the itinerary - whether it was popping into a secret "Bob Marley" swimming hole, or stopping along the side of the road to buy some shrimp. Oh yes, and they always have a red stripe or a rum punch waiting for you to enjoy. :)

A few must-do's:

- West End Sunset Tour - a boat tour around the west end with stops along the way to swim in caves

- Pelican Bar - what better way to enjoy some fish and a red stripe than on a bar made of driftwood in the middle of the ocean?

- Early morning snorkel off of Booby Cay island

- Visiting a school during the countryside tour, the kids were so cute and happy! Even though your world is so different from theirs, you can't help but connect with them.

Echoing other reviews, it was so wonderful to get the disc of pictures from Angi at the end of our trip! We've got a great honeymoon album thanks to JuJu Tours.

“Awesome personalized tour!”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

Just got back from Negril last night--wonderful trip! We spent one of our days with JuJu doing the snorkeling/booby cay tour. It was so nice to be on such a small personalized tour. The individual attention that we got made it a fantastic experience--especially when we saw the GIANT boats full of 50 people all dressed in matching life jackets sail by. Angie and Seymour were great guides and the snorkeling was awesome. Seymour pointed out some very unique items under water and Angie took us to a great "local" lunch on the way home. I hope to get back to Jamaica next year and will definitely use JuJu again!
