This is a very child friendly resort. Lot's of families everywhere. Beautiful grounds and very tropical. Rooms were all brand new and modern. Our houskeeping stewardess - Shelly (our room was 216) was amazing! Everyday our room was spotless cleaned, new sheets every 2 days, and room fully stocked. My son was very sick and she came in on checked on us every few hours to see how he was doing or see if we needed anything. Amazing job, Shelly. Thank you!

The staff is super friendly and happy. Love the Jamaican spirit. Kids club had non-stop activities, the sesame street show each night kept the kids entertained. Food was good - especially the tex mex restuarant and Japanese tepan.

For drinkers, I felt the alcohol may have been watered down. So we kept ordering bottles of champagne and that did the trick!

Would recommend for families. Maybe a little boring for the teens?
Also, bring bug spray - we got eaten alive by mosquitos at night!

Room Tip: Sheely as your houskeeper

This was a fantastic spa resort; I went with my wife just for some relaxation while the kids were with their gran and it is one of the best decisions I have ever made. Sure the resort and beach as a whole was a little bit small but I actually preferred it as it was less busy and generally had a nicer atmosphere than some other resorts. We booked it predominantly for the spa as we wanted one of those 'unwind the senses' kind of holidays but it had much more to offer; lovely food, top quality cocktails and we can't forget about some of the people we met there as they made the experience even better.
We stayed around the middle of the resort which we expected would be busy and loud at night but it wasn't a problem at all, we went to bed pretty late anyway so we could enjoy every minute of the holiday. The beach was top of the range too; it's like one of those beaches off an advert with the white sand and bright-blue sea water...honestly couldn't ask for a better experience.

The only con I can think of is the times they served food at. During a hangover, you kind of want a full English as soon as you get up and It was already past midday but this wasn't too much of an issue, still definitely worth a go!

Room Tip: We were situated around the middle area which we thought would be busy and loud but it wasn't, I reckon the rest of the resort is similar too.

Our family of four has vacationed maybe ten times at all-inclusives. The majority of the resorts were in Mexico, one was a Disney cruise in the Western Carribean, and we've also been to Beaches Turks and Caicos. Our daughters were five years old when we started and are 16 years old now.

Let's start with the good about this resort: beautiful rooms, clean beach, unbelievably friendly staff (our second favorite only to Disney... but duh), fun/free things to do during the day, and the piece de resistance was Karen at water sports! My husband is a certified diver and our teenaged daughters (after diving in Hawaii last year) wanted to do the resort dives. After their first session with Karen, they asked to upgrade to the PADI open water certification because they felt so comfortable with her. Absolutely! We had thought they also had to do an online thing back home because that's what the local SCUBA shop has people do, but nope! Karen took care of everything and they are now legit 60-foot divers. So cool!

For those guests who are interested in making personal connections with the staff, that opportunity was certainly available. There were lots of hugs and high-fives, and I saw several staff members eating with guests. We're keep-to-yourself kinds of people but were pleased to see we were allowed to stick to ourselves yet still receive fantastic service. Certainly didn't seem to be any favoritism.

We live in Arizona so the last thing we're going to do on vacation is sit by a pool or go to waterparks, but the pools we saw sure looked well maintained and the kids' waterpark looked fun for the younger ones.

And then there are the things we'd change. 1) The 1.5-hour drive to and from the airport is a bit of a bummer, but nothing they can do about that. 2) We would prefer portable umbrellas for the beach as the portable shades that were available drastically cut down the breeze making it very warm to sit underneath; besides, the shape of their shades made them rather ineffective after the sun was in front of us, just past noon. 3) The food was just okay. Nothing spectacular, but frankly, we're not really there for the food. We enjoyed dining at Kabuki's for both the food and entertainment; the Italian restaurant was a real let-down. Unless you're on a couples retreat and looking for a four-course two-hour romantic meal, skip it. 4) But the real bummer, at least for our family, was the nighttime entertainment. If was, bar none, the worst we've ever experienced. Most of the resorts we've stayed at offer a kids' show in the beginning (great for kids who've spent the afternoon at the kids' club and can now perform for mom and dad), then moves immediately into something for the family, and then ends with something for older kids and adults. At Beaches Negril, the Sesame Street shows for the kids seemed to be a hit. In fact, we ended up watching many of them because it was all there was to do at that time. But the kids themselves never performed for their folks (what a lost opportunity!). Then there was often a lull or a lackluster performance, one that left us leaving in search of something to keep us going for another hour so we could make it to the "older-audience" show. But quite a few nights, we just got too tired and ended up in bed instead while my husband went to the bar to watch the basketball games. The odd thing was that we didn't have this experience at Beaches Turks and Caicos, so not sure if things are changing everywhere of this resort is an exception.

So to sum it up, it was a great vacation overall. I think those with younger children, in the Sesame Street age group, will LOVE it. Although we don't regret going, we will not be choosing this particular location again. It's tough to have a fabulous day end with a so-so dinner and then nothing but bedtime to look forward to after that.

Room Tip: We were in adjoining rooms #723/724. Top floor of three (no elevator), facing the ocean. Lockable doors between rooms. King bed in one, two doubles in the other. There is NOTHING we would change about the rooms. Absolutely perfect!

This resort was absolute heavenly paradise for my family. We had the best time in every way. Tameisha decorated our room for our son's 10th birthday and completely made his day. Our favorite bartenders, Lorenzo, Leggon, and Patrick were amazing! We loved all the water sports. The food was so so so good. The entire place was immaculately clean. The staff could not have been better. The friendliest people we've ever encountered. We normally don't like to go back to the same place twice, as there are so many places in the world to see, but we will ABSOLUTELY be returning next year. We were so sad to go. Counting the days until we can go back!

Room Tip: We stayed in the Savannah buildings 600 block. Centrally located to everything. The music from the Big Top can be heard at night, but we didn't mind it as we thought it added to the ambiance of our tropical evenings.
