We stayed three days at the Whitehouse property and then ended our trip at the Negril property. Loved them both. Food at Whitehouse was less than impressive however the staff and the resort grounds were awesome, romantic and a perfect start to our honeymoon. Happy, our driver to Dolphin Cove, was so nice and fed us tons of history and knowledge about Jamaica, ask for him he is awesome. We stayed in a beachfront room in the French village which I am so glad we did, it was far enough away from all of the music and late night parties so we were able to sleep. Once we got to Negril we immediately felt like we were on a different vacation. Smaller resort but still a good size. We splurged and got a butler on this part of our trip, (ours was Kenric and he was awesome). I am glad we did however probably won't next time, it's expensive and you tip them out after the trip. All the stuff they do for you can easily be done by you. Gary the photographer took amazing pictures and sent us home with memories that we will never forget, ask for him! A few minor downsides are the road conditions (if you get car sick bring plenty of dramamine), and all excursions are an hour or more away. We had scheduled a trip to Dunns River and had to be cancelled because it was 2 1/2 hours away and they will only go if 4 or more people are going, we did not know this. We talked to a lot of people who have been to all of the sandals in Jamaica and they all say that Negril is overall the best! We will be going back for sure.

Room Tip: We were in loft suites in building 7 which was perfect because its far enough away from all of the noise when you are ready to go to bed.

Can't wait to go back! By far one of the best properties in the Caribbean! The staff was friendly, the food and drinks top drawer. I had always wanted to do a Sandals vacation and am so glad I did. To all the vacation planners out there, if you want a memorable experience, do not hesitate to book Sandals, no matter where you plan to go. It is worth the extra money!

This was our first trip to Negril. Third trip to Jamaica though. The best part of the resort is the people. They have the nicest staff we have ever encountered. The beach is beautiful and very well kept. Most of the restaurants are outdoor. The food was average. The breakfast needed more variety, and alot more fruit. I expected more tropical fruit in Jamaica. It was just melons and papaya. Would have loved crepes but they dont do that either. The bed was the biggest dissappointment. It was a king which was nice but it was so hard we woke up several times a night trying to get comfortable. The pool area is very disappointing also. It is the smallest pool I have ever seen at an all inclusive resort. The pool bartenders were extremely slow also. The Sundowner restaurant did have great food....we ate there twice. Kimonos was also good, request Geon as your cook. They dont do any of the fancy food or utensil tossing but Geon sings the whole time. He was so entertaining we went there twice. That young man is very talented! Snorkeling was fairly good. The included watersports are alot of fun. Ride the huge tube, its a blast. If there is an outdoor party, it can be very loud in your room if you like to be in bed early. The rooms arent very soundproof but considering this is such an old resort they do a great job of keeping it up to date. It had the nicest beachside bathrooms I have ever seen. The pizza is pretty good. The Beach Bistro was ok, it needed alot more variety. The jerk chicken was not the best but still ok. Overall I would give it a B.

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the Italian restaurant. Bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The view was nice.

First of all we traveled here the 16th - 23rd of Feb.2013 for our 3rd trip to Sandal Negril and stayed in the swim up suits with a butler which I highly recommend if you can. We had Basil and Theda as butlers and they were AWESOME taking care of every need possible. We loved being able to swim right from our door at anytime and we did! We had room 6116 swim up and it is located right in the middle for a perfect view of the beach and ocean.
The resort is very casual for all day and evening activities. We must have hit the perfect week because the night life at the beach bar was fun every night thanks to all the fun people at the resort this week. During the day if you love the beach then this place is for you ... beautiful sand and water. You can walk 7 miles of beach (we did) and see all sorts of resorts and people and feel safe while on you walk. I simple no to the peddlers and they leave you alone!
Again this resort is what you want to make of it ... relaxing, laid back or party on the beach, pool and beach bar at night!
If your thinking of this resort my wife and I highly recommend it! We are in our middle 40's and there are people from honey mooners to retired people and the look out the retired people they are a blast to party with ( the circle group ... Paul and Bev ) lots of fun!!
Book it and see ... we will be back!! Rich and Steph from Minnesota

My boyfriend and I just got back from Sandals Negril and have nothing but good things to say!!! We are in our late 30s and found there was a good mix of ages. The food was amazing, we were never disappointed!! Loved Kimonos, so entertaining and yummy! The Barefoot by the Sea was also very good. Pizza was so good, as well as the Beach Grill had great food! The service was perfect. Always so helpful, happy, and accommodating. If only we could all have the happy, easy going attitude that the locals have there. They truly love life and enjoy everyday. We had a great time at the piano bar, they played all current music. The fire pits on the beach were so nice at night....the beaches were stunning. So soft and sandy with warm blue waters. There was always action at the main pool, from games to volleyball to music. The drinks were so good, highly recommend the dirty monkeys. We loved they had all the top shelf alcohol choices. There was always something to do, we were never once bored. Our room was perfect, the view was beyond amazing. who doesn't like to wake up to the sound of the ocean in the morning. We had a beachfront Honeymoon room, loved the 24hour room service!! Room was always clean and restocked with drinks. I cannot honestly find one thing to complain about except that we had to leave. We already booked for next year! Cannot wait!!
