“One of the best parts of our trip to Negril”

Famous Vincent Glass Bottom Boats
Certificate of Excellence
Reviewed March 25, 2013

For $25 a person my husband and I went out with Kirk and Roger on Famous Vincent's glass bottom boat. What great guys! They picked us up directly from the Blue Cave Castle and took us on our way out to the best parts of the reef. My husband and I did not expect a snorkel TOUR but could not have been more pleased with the one Roger gave us! He gave a brief description of the reef before we got in the water, made sure our masks were clean and our fins fit and then gave us each a piece of bread for the sargent major fish to eat out of hands. He then jumped in the water with us and led us on an unforgettable trip around the reef. He stopped to point out more fish and sea life then I could possibly list here, but just to name a few: squid, octupuses, sting rays, sea cucumbers, blowfish, brittle starfish, various anemone, a sea snake... the list goes on and on! Being a bit of a nerd. I absolutely loved learning the names and fun facts about all the various sea creatures we saw. Roger was an absolute stellar tour guide. So much so that we regretted not bringing more cash with us to tip him :-/ This was hands down one of the best experiences of our trip to Negril.

Vincent is the best! It's a great trip with him. We have been going with him for years. The reef is awesome and he definitely knows the sea life & shows guests everything. Part of the fun is the ride along the west end and also out to the reef.

Don't miss it if your going to either the West End or the beach. If he doesn't answer his phone, he's probably in the water! 1-876-473-6910.

Vincent and his crew are extremely cool and professional! A real deal for $30 U.S. a person for a half hour ride to the reef while you get to see all the cool cliff resorts along the way with caves and then get to snorkel for an hour while Vincent explains and shows you all the different fish.We saw a nurse shark about 4ft. long hiding in between some coral about 5 feet away from it! We also saw a huge sea turtle, sing rays, and all kinds of beautiful colored fish. The water was so clear and highly recommend it! There are other glass bottom boat company's by the beach but can't imagine them being as cool as these guys.We talked with other people around and at are resort and seemed to get the same response from others also, some had gone twice because they enjoyed it so much. It was our first time snorkeling at a reef so maybe some more experienced snorkelers wouldn't be as impressed because we don't have anything else to compare it to but am addicted now and can't wait to do it again.

We watched them go by our hotel everyday and then we finally figured out that we could flag them down and they would pick us up from our hotel right then or you could set up a time. so the day before we left my husband went down to the cliffs to try and catch them. He talked to them and they said they were going to go around the point and pick up some other people and they'd be back in about 30 min. So we got our stuff together and went down to wait and when they got there nobody else was on the boat. We got to have this awesome experience all to ourselves. What an awesome way to end our honeymoon!!! We took the app. 30 min ride out to the reef and then spent 45-60 min in the water. We saw stingrays, jellyfish, urchins, sea turtles, baracuda, starfish and all different kinds of fish. For first time snorkelers we thought it was fantastic. Roger and Kirk were very friendly, helpful and patient with both of us and we both had trouble getting started but once we got the hang of it we had a blast. I think we paid $30/pp and it was totally worth it! I'm so thankful we got to experience this together.

We took a glass-bottom boat ride on Vincent's Famous Glass Bottom Boat. Vincent, Kurt or "Babyface" as we called him, and Roger were our guides for the day. They took us snorkeling where we saw a sea turtle, huge sting-rays, blowfish (Roger caught it with his hands!), jellyfish, sea urchin, and SO MUCH MORE! We were seriously out there swimming for 45 minutes to an hour! Then they took us to Booby Cay for freshly caught lobster grilled right there on the beach - delicious! THEN, they took us to the cliffs/caves, where we saw an almost unreal sunset and swam through caves. Even thinking about it now seems unbelievable! All of this cost us about $30 each, and was worth much more than that! Do yourself a favor and call Vincent before you take one of the ridiculously expensive boat trips! :)
