The five basic & clean island style cottages are set in a beautiful lush walled garden.
Delicious breakfasts are brought to your veranda each morning.
There is access to the cliffs for swimming & snorkling across the road at Banana Shout.
Seven Mile Beach and a hotel that welcomes non guests is a taxi ride away.
Great meals at nearby restaurants.
Two highlights during our stay in Negril were a reggae concert and jerk fest.

What to say ?

Everything is perfect, nice and clean. The staff is amazing and always here if you need.
You feel like at home and you can enjoy the nice little pool and a wonderful breakfast at the time you want, with fresh juice and omelets or ackee. The garden is amazing and you can hear the animals at night.

That's the perfect place to stay in Negril if you don't want to be stuck in an all inclusive resort.

My fiance and I spent 5 days at Banana's Garden recently. The experience was unforgettable. Nicole and her son Jonah welcomed us into this magical place making each day a truly special Jamaican experience. Breakfasts were made for us each morning and served on the deck of our private bungalow. The pool and grounds are immaculate and inviting. After a night out to dinner my then boyfriend and I returned to the gardens with news of our engagement! Nicole, Jonah, Opal, and Bobby couldn't have been more excited for us. It was like celebrating with family. We will continue to return to this special place and stay at The Garden. There are many wonderful memories that bond us to this place. Many thanks to the staff for making our experience completely perfect. Happy New Year! One Love!

Staying here is like staying with a friend, and I would highly recommend you try this place if you want a full-on Jamaican experience. The meals here at Banana's Garden are excellent (we ate local food, sustainably grown and VERY well-prepared). Breakfasts are served on the veranda of your cabin, and are delicious. If you get a chance to ask Nicole to bake you banana muffins, DO IT! Rooms are spacious, well furnished and very comfortable. The property and the rooms are very clean and well kept. The property is also beautiful, and right across the street from cliffs which offer awesome views of the Negril sunset.

Their driver Dennis picked us up from and dropped us off at the airport (on time and with good conversation). All of their recommendations for local joints were right on. Nicole, Dennis and Opal were welcoming and generous, telling us all of the best local places to eat, swim, and drink. We got a quick and helpful run-down on how to best travel around by taxi and how to handle persistent sellers of various wares. This place is right across the street from some super-duper cliff diving and snorkeling (at Banana Shout). Because of Banana's Garden all we had to deal with was awesome weather, amazing jerk (go to De Bar & Grill and 3 Dives. Awesome!) and great service.

The only issue we had was the roosters at the place next door. They were doing some construction during the day, but the roosters go off like clockwork at 6am or so. So bring earplugs and all will be well. :)

Banana"s Garden is a relaxed, garden retreat with simple rustic cottages amid beautiful trees and flowers. We loved the breakfasts prepared by our delightful host Nicole: Callaloo quiche with green banana crust, sweet potato latkas, with daily breadfruit, papaya and fresh squeezed orange juice . We loved the staff: friendly and laid back manager and chef Nicole with her free spirited energetic son Jonah, endearingly sweet Opal with her folksy, honest observations and advice, Bobby the hard working gardener, and Duane the driver who got us to and from the airport in comfort and safety, stopping for supplies along the way.
Our only complaint was that the dogs next door barked annoyingly late at night but they eventually settled down.
All in all I would recommend this as a refreshingly different retreat that is affordable and close to all the attractions of the cliffs.
