Seven Mile Beach in Negril along with Coco Lapalm has become my favorite beach destination...As others have said, this is not a 5 star hotel where you will be pampered all day and night, but it has the best beach in one of the best beach destinations in the world. The rooms are always clean and safe and the staff attentive to your needs. The free Monday night manager's reception is fun and the beach grill has excellent beach food including jerk chicken, Do not miss out on the jerk chicken at the Best of the West across the street. The entire resort is immaculate, the pools very clean and the hot tub awesome; especially at night!

The location without a doubt is the best on Seven Mile Beach with the most waterfront and sand for the size of the hotel. Yes, the beach vendors can be persistent, but Andrew the Security Guard with the stick does a great job moving them along or standing along side guests who wish to purchase to make sure they do not get taken advantage of. The hotel is smack in the middle of Seven Mile Beach and one can walk either way for food, entertainment, a drink or to just walk and enjoy the day and amazing surroundings!

The breakfast voucher is outstanding with a booking through Negril One Stop for the best prices. You get a continental breakfast, but can upgrade to a full breakfast for 2 for $10-12 including tip. Please book with One Stop for thre best prices and service and book transportation with them from and back to the airport with the Malcom brothers. Always a good and safe ride and they gladly stop so you can pick up groceries along the way.

As far as the 75-80 degree crystal clear turqouis water that gently laps the white sand, what more do I need to say?

Room Tip: You get value for whatever style room you pay for but do ask to be away from the road which can be n...

Just got back from our week long vacation at the Cocolapalm. We normally stay at all inclusive resorts, but wanted to take a chance, and we are glad we did. This was a very clean resort, a great beach, nice amenities, and a great location. There were a lot of nice restaurants and bars within walking distance which made for a nice variety. There is a small convienence store called Mikey's across the street (very small! but he seems to have everything you need). All the staff were very friendly. We would definitely return!

I had the pleasure of staying at CocoLaPalm for a few nights. You stay at this property for the location on the 7 mile beach. It has the best beach on the 7 mile strip besides Couples. The rooms are average but clean. The staff is friendly and the grounds are well maintained. Overall the stay was enjoyable and I recommend staying there for an afforable laid back time at the beach.

Just returned from a weeks stay and have nothing but good to say about Cocolapalm. The room was very clean, the staff friendly and responsive, the location was central, the grounds well-maintained, the beach area large and shady areas available, the security was good, & the beach bar food and breakfast was great, too!
We walked the beach both ways, and were sure we made the best choice of where to stay on the beach in Negril. Some places had really tiny beach areas, and seemed so crowded, unlike Cocolapalm where the beach is wide with plenty of room to spread out.
The security people kept the vendors from pestering too much and made sure if you did buy from a beach vendor, you weren't getting ripped off. Whenever you dealt with a vendor, the security guy was right there every time watching over things.
The only problem we had was noisy people next door, and one night past midnight, when the people got really, really loud, we called security. They said they would take care of it, and within 5 minutes, it got quiet! The next day we went to the office and asked if there was any way we could change rooms so we wouldn't keep having the noise problem. They were very nice, and moved us to a beautiful, quiet room with no problem at all. This meant a lot and we really appreciated it.
We recommend this place for their location, security, and attentiveness to customers.

Spent a week in February to get out of the Michigan weather. Very nice property. We stayed in superior room. Spacious, very clean, kitchenette, and covered patio. 2 very nice pools and a hot tub. Large beach with plenty of shady areas. Good location with easy walking on the beach in a central location. Staff were all very nice, especially Donovan at bar, Erika in housekeeping, and Shelton in grounds keeping. Property is beautiful and well maintained. Front office staff very nice also. Beach bar had good food and drinks. Main dining room had good breakfast but was lacking at dinner time. Would definitely eat dinner elsewhere.
Be sure to try Nias patties, they were great. A short walk down the beach.
Made great drinks with the fresh juice and fruit vendors sold on the beach.
A very warm and relaxing vacation. Good people watching on the beach. Will definitely return.

We've stayed at CocoLapalm a dozen times over the last ten years. The resort has updated some of the rooms in past years and was doing a lot of outside maintenance this year. The rooms and the grounds are always spotless. The outside maintenance staff and house maids do a fantastic job to keep the place looking fresh every day.

The beds are past their prime and each year seem to be getting worse, this year was the worst. After all these stays I wouldn't go back if I had to sleep in the bed we had in our room. Hopefully when they sell (rumor has it) Coco the new owner will replace the beds.

Food at the daytime bar is good but very slow coming, its all cooked to order so if you ordered at noon expect to wait up to an hour to get your food. Drinks come quicker but no one is overtly warm or friendly, your lucky to get a half smile if you force it. Drink server on the beach was new this year and she was pleasant and brought drinks back in a reasonable time.

The beach is one of the best on stretch, with trees to pull under for shade when the sun becomes too much. Picnic tables are also in the shade, you can grab something at the bar, one of the beach vendors selling patties from his bike, or run across the street to Best of West Chicken. The security during the day is best when Andrew (carry's a walking stick) is working, he keeps the traffic moving.

The office staff again not overly friendly, but efficient enough. Waiter's are generally good. Donavan and O'Neil are always standouts in terms of friendliness and professionalism.

Prices continue to go up.

Room Tip: You can request a room but even if you stay there every year they wont guarantee or reserve the room...
