Owner description: Pirates once haunted this seven-mile stretch of golden sand beach, now ruled by pleasure-seeking beach bums and sun-worshipers.

The beach is very nice and clean. Great workout if you do the seven miles. Traffic and vendors can be an issue but if you ignore them and say no you are good. Be prepared to spend money food can be expensive. For example we had a very small ceasar salad at The Wild thing and it cost us $10US. You need to use chairs from restaurant therefore need to buy few things or tip the security guards (they are all over the seven miles beach). If you are going with family be aware, that some ladies can go around topless. Overall, the place is nice.

Just a nice beach to walk and secure (security guard at every resort). I did not walked the full 7 miles

White sand and crystal clear water! Friendly people on the beach and lots of things to do...If you don't want to be bothered by beach sellers, just politely tell them no...

The beach is not very wide, so you can see vendors, resorts, stores relatively close to the water. The sand is clean, very smooth, and the water very shallow for a long way out. Vendors will try to get you to look at their crafts or sell their service (jet ski, snorkeling tour, smoke, etc.). They are polite and won't bother you if you say no. We passed by Alfred's Ocean Palace and tried some jerk chicken, which was good. The owner didn't have change for $20USD and actually let us come back and pay him later. Captain Moses is also parked nearby and was recommended to us for snorkeling by a fellow traveler. We didn't go with him since we already went with the boat by our resort (Grand Pineapple).

Nice long walking beach - be prepared for allot of vendors - a simple "I am all set, or no thanks works"
