Had dinner at Alice's last night. The music inside was too loud so we sat on the patio despite the gathering clouds. Service was prompt and the meals and drinks were very good -- as well as generous in portion. The curry goat was excellent: it tasted more like a black-pepper curry than an indian or thai curry.
After the meal, the owner -- who constantly chats with the customers to make sure everything is allright, sat down with us and told us the story behind the restaurant, its name and the staff. Apparently, everything is locally sourced from farms and markets in the mountains and the profits are shared amongst all the employees, helping to support a total of 24 kids.
