“Need to relax and unwind in an intimate setting? This is the place!”
Reviewed May 18, 2009

If you are looking for a great, relaxing, intimate resort to frequent, The Palms is the place. You are first welcomed by a friendly receptionist who makes sure you get settled in. The owners are usually around to greet you also. The rooms are spacious and modern, with a king size bed. The furniture reminds you of scandinavian but is made from Jamaica red cedar. The unique windows allows for a cool breeze if you do not want the air conditioner. My room had a wonderful balcony. The bathroom is unique - modern, but with the slat floors and open shower with the rain shower shower head you truly get the feel of "natural bathing" - island style.

The decking that houses both relaxation areas and the fabulous restaurant "Krystal's" is
amazing - again handmade from Jamaican red cedar. It is located right on the beach so you have immediate access to the sand and/or ocean. Nightly entertainment can be expected from local artists. During my last visit, the Sunday night Jamaican Jazz Ensemble and the bonfire was delightful. The restaurant chef's are fabulous, cooking up delights every night. I especially loved the pumpkin soup and the pumpkin rice. The lobster and shrimp dishes were equally amazing.

The staff members are very friendly, professional and caring. Security is present to keep beach peddlers at bay, and your beach chair is prepared for you to relax.

Try it - I am sure you will like it!

A Very Satisfied Guest! JY

Incredible is the only way to describe it! From the minute we arrived at The Palms Resort in Negril we were treated like family. Before we even arrived Opal and Omar made sure that we were taken care of, from a ride from the airport to the details of our room. The Palms Resort is a quaint Boutique Hotel, a fantastic restaurant, Kristyl's and a location to die for. If you want to experience the real Jamaica this is the place! The entire staff is wonderful and felt welcomed and loved the entire 10 day stay. The room we had was clean, comfortable, and a fantastic view. If you want the generic Jamaican vacation this is not for you. If you want to experience the wonderful people of Jamaica, the best food in Negril, and the most relaxed place you have ever been then this is the place. We feel like we have family in Jamaica now and will return to The Palms Resort Negril for years to come! One Love!

My girlfriend and i recently got back from our 2 weeks vacation where we stayed at the Lion's Dive resort in Curacao and the Palms Resort in Jamaica. Both properties we amazing!! Our first trip to Jamaica was in 2007 and we stayed at 2 different hotels which was OK. staying at the Palms resort this time around was so amazing!! They have the best spot on the 7 mile beach of Negril. There fresh water swimming pool that's docked on the ocean front is a perfect place to watch the sunset while having a cocktail. the restaurant, Kristyl's International provides the best food we've ever had in Jamaica. [try the shrimp in coconut sauce]. the staff there are wonderful and very friendly, Omar at the front office is the best, he has lots of information and great recommendations on things to do while in Negril. The rooms were also very nice, They still have a little renovation left to carry out but that is something that's easily noticed at all. We will definitely be back next year!!!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone that is staying in Negril. This is a beachfront hotel with an amazing pool area included. They offer you the best of both. Not only were they priced reasonable, but the entire staff including the owner were extremely accommodating. The food was amazing and the location was perfect. Please try this hotel whenever you're planning to head to Jamaica Mon.

The staff at the Palms Resort went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic time. Their service was terrific and the food was AMAZING! A feature we enjoyed with the property was the deck. It meant you could relax on the comfy chairs beside the pool while still overlooking the ocean and the glorious sunsets. This property gives you privacy without being set away from it all. I would have no hesitation in returning to this property.

We just happened upon the Palms Resort, on Negril's Upper East Side, while walking along the hot sandy beach, looking for a place to have brunch during our recent stay in Jamaica. Some friends and I were originally staying in another hotel on the West end of Negril Beach, when we decided to take a long early afternoon stroll. We were gazing, as we passed the beach front restaurants, when we were greeted by a friendly welcome from a smiling restaurant manager, by the name of Garth - and we decided to take him up on his invitation to have a look inside.
Garth led us up the stairs into the cool restaurant, where we were immediately captivated by the unique oversized furniture layout, and the swimming pool in the center of the outdoor deck area. We then were charmed by the smell of simmering freshness emanating from the dinner tables, set around the pool as we walked in. Once we saw the enchanting hand-made, custom-designed, cypress and teak furniture with its plush cushions as well as the unique wood decor, we were hooked.
We stayed there the last few days of our trip and the friendly staff catered to our every need. The food at Krystal's restaurant was outstanding. Brunch was great, I had the fruit plate and a blended fruit punch – yummy! I then had the salmon for dinner and the lobster the next night - everything was fresh and the portions were generous. Soft reggae/jazz music played in the background and the view of the sunsets - while looking out at the cove where lights shone from the cliffs on the West End - was spectacular.
The rooms were spacious and had the same unique wood furniture design with its oversized dimensions and a cushiony plush feel. We actually got to meet the Krystal, the restaurant’s name sake, and the daughter of the owners, on our second night for dinner. I was struck by her down-to-earth friendliness and that of her manager Garth. They invited us back and even gave us free souvenirs to take back - since we promised to tell our friends about the Palms, when I got back home!
The "Palms Resort" is not to be confused with "Sunset on the Palms", which is located on the West End. The Palms Resort is a newly opened Resort nestled in a cozy location on the eastern end of Negril's seven mile beach along with several newer hotels and resorts. This location has a fresh, more pristine feel than the more commercial West end.
To anyone looking to get away from the stress of the daily hustle and bustle of life, in exchange for great food and the casual ambiance of beach front sights and sounds; coupled with relaxing, peaceful, charming days and beautiful, breathtaking, invigorating nights, I recommend the Palms Resort, Negril, Jamaica. –Bill B.

The Palms is Negril is the perfect place to experience love in paradise. It's the perfect place to bring your love and fall even deeper in love. I have never felt more comfortable, relaxed and in love. The service that my honey and i received was amazing. This is the second time I have visited the Palms. The first time I visited with girlfriends. And we all had a BLAST!! We kept busy with fun activities like jet skiing. But it way even better the second time around with my honey. We just lounged at the pool, on the 7 mile beach in front of the hotel and took in the beautiful scenery. We ate the amazing cuisine at Kristyl's Restaurant and just had a really amazing time. The staff was so nice and helpful. The personal service was awesome. We felt like we were the only people there although their were many other people staying in the hotel. The staff went out of their way to fill our every request. We felt like a King and Queen.
