My wife and I were in Jamaica at the beginning of January for a cruise. I booked a tour (Dunns River Falls and the Irie Blue Hole) with Peat Taylor Tours through their website, received a confirmation email within 12 hours, and detailed instructions on where to meet our guide. Getting off the ship, we followed the directions provided to us, and after about 5-10 minutes, found our tour guide (Peat Taylor, Jr.). We had some problems getting off the ship (some sort of delay), and we were wondering if we had missed our tour...but Peat was there waiting for us. Surprisingly, we were the only couple on the tour, so we rode in his sedan car (very comfortable, nice and clean). Peat was dressed very professionally, and made us feel safe the whole time, ensuring that we knew exactly where to go, what to do, and where to meet him when we were done. He filled us in on some local sites and showed us some local flora along the way. Dunns River Falls was a great experience, and the Irie Blue Hole was incredible. On the way back to the ship, we stopped at Scotchies for an amazing jerk chicken lunch (the festival bread is amazing), and we were back at the ship with over an hour to spare. We felt like we had done a lot in our limited time available on the island. We will absolutely not hesitate to use Peat Taylor Tours when we come back to Jamaica!

We were in Falmouth on a cruise and wanted to visit friends at Old Fort Bay. Peat Taylor tours offered a private van for $35 per person. Peat Jr. (or Repeat) met us where his dad said he would be, professionally dressed and knowledgeable of where we were headed. He pointed out sights along the way. Peat dropped us off and came back 1/2 hour early and waited patiently while we had lunch. We had an efficient ride back to the port, and Peat sang a medley of Bob Marley songs as we got closer to the dock. We would recommend Peat Taylor Tours for dependable transportation.

My family of 11 booked The Ocho Rios highlights and Dunns River Falls tour with Peat Taylor tours during our cruise on the Carnival Valor. Within 24 hours they sent me a confirmation email along with instructions on where to meet them. We were nearly an hour late getting off the ship, but O'Neal was waiting patiently for us. We started with a tour of the city - went through the Fern Gulley, saw the schools, churches, neighbourhoods. O'Neal allowed us to smell an all Spice nut from a tree, lemon grass, and nut meg - didn't even realize they grew on trees. We went to a scenic overlook and took pictures, we also saw a version of Venus Fly traps; when you would touch the grass, it closes around your fingers. Jamaica is a beautiful country! O'Neal kept us entertained with his singing and entertaining stories. My 10-year-old was a little nervous during the drive due to the high elevations and drop offs during some part of the tour - oh and the driving is a little crazy in Jamaica, but O'Neal was an expert driver and obviously knew the roads inside and out.

After the tour we went to Dunns River Fall where we were escorted in by O'Neal's younger brother Ainsworth. He lead us to our Dunns River fall tour guide, and took my mother, who did not want to climb the waterfall, to the observation deck. After the tour, he was waiting to escort us back to the bus. We did not pay any money until we were back at the cruise drop off point.

My family was a little leery about using an independent tour company after some of the horror stories we'd read about Jamaica being dangerous and the aggressive vendors. We were even warned by a cab driver in Grand Cayman to only book a tour through the cruise ship. Thank God we didn't listen! Everybody felt safe, and Jamaica and Peat Taylor's exceeded our expectations by far! O'Neal and Ainsworth were absolutely fabulous!

Booked Peet Taylor Tours on Dec. 12/12 for tubing down White River, Irie Blue Hole, and lunch at Scotchies followed by trip to Post Office for our stamp habit. Peet's son, Oneil, drove us around. He was an outstanding tour guide! Lively, funny, experienced! We had a wonderful time, the highlight of our cruise! He was on time, as promised, and returned us to the ship on time. Had authentic, terrific jerk at Scotchies, where the locals eat. Highly recommend this friendly local family-run company! Ya mon!

We had the pleasure to return to Ocho Rios, Jamaica on December 19, 2012. I contacted Pete Taylor tour by e-mail to let them know that we would be returning to the Island on a cruise. Having been there before we did not care to do the falls again. We wanted a relaxing day private day to site see and eat some amazing jerk. We got both! Peat's son Oneill was again our guide for the day. Oneill is extremely knowledgeable about the local floral and fauna, reaching out of the van window and plucking flowers, and fruits from the trees. He passed around several items for us to taste and smell, they each came with a story of what they are and how they can be used for holistic medicine. We enjoyed a great day beginning at the dock, sight seeing and an amazing jerk pork & festival bread lunch! We will definitely call them if you return. Lastly they will be happy to stop any time you need or want to.
