Owner description: Come visit Jamaica’s popular Bamboo Beach Club where white sand, blue water and beautiful views create an unforgettable tropical paradise. Sprawling almond and palm trees line the seashore and create an atmosphere of relaxation and fun. Enjoy one of the most unique cultural experiences on the island, as live entertainment is ongoing and gives you a real feel of the Jamaican culture. Jamaican dancers, reggae drummers, exotic singers and artistic acrobats make up our distinctive troupe of professionals who present enjoyable performances right on the sand. Take a swim in the sea, dip your toes in the sand, and sip on cool glasses of unlimited beer, Jamaican mojitos, rum punch or lemonade as our DJ plays a fashionable mix of local and reggae beats. The food keeps coming as your charming hostesses with their friendly smiles and excellent service continually circle the Beach Club with an array of unlimited tasty dishes freshly prepared by our chef. These culinary treats are served "tapas style" and mix Jamaican and Asian accents to create cuisine that is sure to delight. Dancing in the morning, drinking cocktails at noon, and “taking it cool” is Bamboo Beach Club’s philosophy..

I wasn't sure about the beach club, I have read many reviews that were good and bad.. We signed up for the VIP package and that gives you lobster and shrimp for lunch, own private area on beach, and padded beach lounge chairs under the palm and coconut trees.
The beach is beautiful white sand but you cant swim in front of the VIP area cuz it is all rocks. you must go down in front of beach for everyone and that was mostly sand in the water..
The service was great and brought all types of things to eat, banana fritters and fish salad, unlimited drinks. so I rate this a 5 as was much better than expected

Last week my husband and I enjoyed our very first trip to Montegobay Jamaica and it was a great choice. One of the two excursions that we booked off the resort was the Dunns River Falls/Bamboo Beach/Tubing trip. It was a long, and very hot day with a lot to fit in but we were very lucky to have Max and Saskia as our guides. They worked incredibly well together the pairing was seamless. At all times we felt informed, educated and entertained. They answered every question we asked and shared some of their personal story with us. We were a fairly large group and Max and Saskia worked their butts off all day long, waiting on us, entertaining us, engaging us, teaching us about Jamaica and ensuring that we were happy all day long. Max and Saskia were our bartenders (yes there was plenty of rum and Red Stripe throughout the day) and our waitstaff, serving us several native dishes that where interesting and yummy.Bamboo beach was a beautiful little beach, the kind postcards are made of. The bathrooms were clean, the food was great and the scenery unmatched. It was a fabulous day and we will do it on our next visit to Jamaica. We can only hope to be lucky enough to have Max and Saskia as our guides. Highly recommended. :-)

We never book thru the cruise line becasue we have found we save so much money booking on our own with repatubule companys and usually have much more time on the beaches etc..BUT with this port we booked thru carnival because all the warnings about safety. This excursion thru carnival was not expensive it was around 60.00 per person and was all inclusive. Our guide was Peter-Kay was she was fantastic. We easily found her with her sign for our group. She was a wonderful guide and had such a gracious attitude. She was on time, she never let the food or drinks run out. The jerk chicken was amazing. That was our favorite that she served that day. She offered about 5 different drinks and each were just fine in there own way. I enjoyed several rum punch drinks that day. Our bus driver was nice, polite and safe! When you go here you have to realize the difference in the beaches on different islands and this beach is not like the soft white sand of St Thomas or Aruba etc.. it is more of the yellow type beach and the sand is a little coarse with tiny shells or rocks in it. It did not hurt your feet but was not powder sand. As advertised there was music and dance. There were 3 drum players (not steel) and they played several times during the day, there were also 3 male dancers that were fun to watch, the women that worked got together and we all line danced with them and it was fun also. Some of the group with us went out to snorkel but this is not a snorkel beach and we were not surprised they saw no fish or coral here. If you look at the big picture of what it cost and you are served all day as much or little as you want, there is singing and dancing and drums and a DJ it is a great value. I know you can book it cheaper on your own but we recommend you stay with a group in ports you are warned to. We never felt not safe at all. There is security at this beach and we saw them lots which totally help our nerves here .We were never put in an unsafe feeling situation. We also were given our choice of chairs or loungers in the shade or sun. There are clean restrooms and there is a fresh water shower right outside to the right of the womens restroom. All in all it was a beautiful day and we had fun. NO PROBLEMS

I had a chance to visit this beach and I was so satisfied. The staff was excellent, the food was awesome and the drinks were fantastic. The beach itself was an awesome experience, the water , the weather all was just so great. Our tour guide Saskia was the best. She had a lot of knowledge of her hometown, and gave us a nice tour of the area. I recommend this beach. You rock reggae beach.
