Stayed here with wife and some friends. The staff is really amazing. I think sometimes there were more staff than guests. The Jamaicans are all so very friendly and genuine, it makes the resort very welcoming. No problem , mon is not just a saying for them. Service everywhere was very good, though sometime meal service at the terrace was a bit slow, even by island standards.

The butler service was nice. Tafari and Audel were always there to help. It was nice to have someone to call on the provided cell phone to get an answer or help with something. Rooms were very nice and well maintained. Food was generally excellent. Cocktails were also quite good with nice liquor selection except poor tequila choices. Wine is Beringer and not so great.

Went next door to the big Sandasl for a few meals. Food there was ok but not great. Service still good there. Did a lot of Diving. Dives were great. Most dives were about a 2-3 minute boat ride away. No big animals but lots of great reef fish. Equipment good quality. Dive team very helpful. We even took an advanced open water diver course with Shaw and he took great care of us. The whole dive team did a great job.

Overall, probably the nicest all inclusive property I have ever visited. The small nature of the property encourages staff to get to know guests and they provide excellent service. But I think it is the personality of the Jamaicans that makes the place so enjoyable. Not a big nightlife party place but relaxing and fun.

This place was awesome. The butler service is wonderful; our favorite was Sheldon. The staff is over the top with the catering to our every request. The food was very good and the choice of wines, liquor, and tropical drinks was more than adequate. I will definitely return to this resort.

Our stay at the Royal Plantation was amazing. Everything is first class in this small intimate resort.
All Suites are Butler suites thanks to Garey and Kenton who made our stay so special each day.
The food is very well presented and prepared we enjoyed our dinning experience each day. The fact that there is a dress code to dine in the Papillion resturaunt makes the experience more elegant.
This is a resort for relaxation no loud music playing in pool or beach area . Entertainment in evening was good with a varity of talented local artists ( loved the jazz evening)
The bar has a British feel to it and is a good place to chill and meet a few friends.
I used the well equipped gym every day and joined the yoga class each day outdoors on the pier with Yoga master Maji. (Namaste Maji)
I'm in my thirties and loved this quite elegant resort. We will most certainly visit again.

Rooms are beautiful, views spectacular, food delightful, service stunning and tremendously romantic. Beach service outstanding, totally secluded and private resort. Will return again and again. Has private shuttle to and from airport. Butlers are superb without being intrusive. Best place ever! If you are looking for something totally special this place is it!

My wife and I spent the week of September 8-15 at Sandals Royal Plantation for our 31st anniversary. We have travelled to 6 other Sandals properties. Peter Fraser and his staff did an excellent job of entertaining us during our week at SRP. Thank you to Mike McHugh at Dream Makers Vacation Services for ensuring our trip was flawless.

Airport – Michelle, our driver, was able to provide a nice recap of local Jamaican history during our transfer. We were the only 2 people on the transfer and the trip took us approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Arrival – There was a little confusion during our check-in in regards to which butlers were assigned to us but we lucked out with Kenton and Garey (DJ Flex). Thanks guys!!

Suite –We booked the Royal Peacock suite and had room 301 facing the magnificent Caribbean Sea. Peter Fraser offered us an upgrade to the one bedroom suite but we were so enthralled with the view from our room we thankfully declined.

Dining –The food was best described as WOW. Frederico, the food and bev manager outdid himself.
Royal Grill--We had lunch a couple of days here and enjoyed the coconut shrimp and Lobster BLT. On certain nights they had a seafood extravaganza at the Royal Grill.
The Terrace--We had breakfast here and I thoroughly enjoyed the Achee and Lobster dish along with the corned beef hash. You must try the Fruitinis. We ate lunch once at the Terrace and it was fantastic. We also ate dinner during the Italian Night and Jamaican night festivities. The curry goat served during Jamaica Night was outstanding. One night Frederico surprised us one night with a wonderful Chicken Piri Piri dish.
Le Papillon – We ate at this great restaurant twice including Mash Up night where the chef makes your dinner based on what you like as opposed to a menu. My wife and I enjoyed lobster tails that night. Do not forget to indulge in the chocolate pudding cake.
Wobbly Peacock--I enjoyed some chicken wings one afternoon while the wife was getting a massage. Hats off to Gladstone and proud new papa Sean for their wonderul hospitality throughout the trip. Miss you guys.
Room Service – We had breakfast in our room one morning and it was punctual and wonderful. You order your breakfast the night before and it arrives right on time the next morning.
The Grand Riviera--We went over next door for pizza twice at Bella Napoli. It was great.

Entertainment – We enjoyed the entertainment each night. Quiet instrumental music while you enjoyed your dinner and then at 9.00 pm a singer took the stage to entertain. Great job Jason.

Beaches – We enjoyed the West Beach. Thanks to Adrian and Cleon for keeping our glasses filled. There was a constant breeze coming off the sea that kept us refreshed. We went snorkeling one morning and went out on the Hobie Cat one afternoon.

Pool Area – We hung out by the pool one afternoon. While the pool is small it was nice and quiet.

Catamaran Cruise – We enjoyed the sunset catamaran cruise on Wednesday. Very scenic and some spirited dancing by the great staff on board.

Fitness Center –The fitness center was very good and served its purpose. I utilized the elliptical and free weights each morning. The fitness center was air conditioned.

Spa – We took advantage of the free couples massage and my wife had 2 hot stone massages. I went over for a steam bath and shave a couple of times.

Sandals Foundation--Thank you to Lindsay, Ian and Kelly-Ann for taking us to visit the students at Mansfield Heights. My wife got to read the children a story. The kids were great.

Wireless Internet –My only complaint is that there is a charge associated with wireless internet. Unfortunately the signal in our room was terrible and I had to lean out of the French balcony to get a signal. I generally went to the Wobbly Peacock to check emails and communicate with home.

Special Thanks--A lot of people to thank and I hope I do not miss anyone...

Having visited other sandals resorts I read the reviews on the royal plantation, and as we like smaller resorts we gave it a go.We have stayed in better accommodation, although it was lovely and the view was amazing, this resort and the people are wonderful.Never have we felt so special, nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond.
So many of the staff made it special for us, but I must mention Frederico who is the food and beverage manager he arranged a special meal for us with the table decorated this was at no extra charge and he advised any food requests we would like he would arrange for us. He went above and beyond what we expected, which was not only to us but everyone he came into contact with. The young chef in the terrace restaurant (Lucien) was great, he always had a lovely smile and greeting every day, even giving my husband a cooking lesson each day on how he prepared the fresh food.

We played a lot of golf while we were there, it is a great 18 hole course which is 10 minute drive away, you are taken there and collected when your done, with a phone call to your butler.
Excellent course with very friendly people well worth a visit.
There were no bad experiences, it is a great place and the people make it so special.
Would I go back? YES YES YES !!!!!!!
