“the best holiday”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

The hotel was fabulous. It was a 2 hour drive from the airport, but it was a lovely journey and we were able to see some of the Island. We arrived at the airport and were sent to a separate section at the airport where we were given a drink before our journey, so there was no confusion over coaches etc. it was all very relaxed.
Once we arrived at the beautiful hotel we were given a speedy check in - with a rum punch and offered room service .
The hotel was gorgeous and the room was exceptional. I stayed in a superior ocean view. The food was excellent. There was a hugh variety to choose from and it was delcious. The staff were wonderful. Very friendly, helpful, charming and easy going. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt very welcomed. The beach was beautiful white sand and there were plenty of sunbeds. I would recommend this holiday to anyone and everyone and i will definately be going back.

Room Tip: We stayed in the superior ocean view and woke up to the sounds of the palm trees and the sea. wonder...

I just returned from a week stay at Couples Tower Isle and wish I booked two weeks. I've travelled all over the world and have stayed at some of the "best" places on the planet... they all are now 2nd to Tower Isle. I booked my trip because of the Trip Advisor reviews and comments. All the food was 5 star. The staff was incredibly accommodating.. the piano bar stays open until the last person leaves. Don't bring other couples... this will be the most romantic trip you've ever taken. I'm not the type person that wants to meet new people... but the fact that my wife and I were by ourselves we met the most amazing couples that were there to experience a similar romantic time.

Try the naked island... my wife and I have never gone naked in public before but I can tell you that we made it to the island 4 days and loved it. You can be as private as you want. NOTE TO WOMEN... if you think your man wants to look at other women on the island YOU'RE WRONG. My wife and I were in an area where I could only see her and it was the sexiest thing on the planet. there are so many misconceptions about the island... there are no swingers and guys lurking in the corner.

There's tons of planned activiteis... we participated in some and only left the resort to go to margaritaville... don't go it's a tourist trap.

Everything is NO PROBLEM MON!

Room Tip: I highly recommend a deluxe ocean view... we stayed on the 4th floor of building 4 and the view was...

Resort had the best staff of any resort I have been!! Food could have been better just ok. Room was perfect view, beds, distance to beach and balcony view! Pools nice and clean. Beach Lunch bar was excellent (tuna sandwich). Anything we asked for the staff would get us. This was all around the best resort I have stayed. Plenty of beverages to choose from (miller lite) red stripe and caribe.

Room Tip: Stay in rooms on the 3 story side

We stayed 8 nights in an Ocean Junior Suite Room. We have been to this property before (in 2010) and stayed in a Premier Ocean Room that time. Arriving and departing were crazy chaotic this visit ... it took us several phone calls (despite pre-checking in online) to get our minibar stocked, our repeaters gifts. However, our stay was wonderful despite the beginning ... Our room was gorgeous and huge ... would definitely recommend the Junior Ocean Suite ... had a built in very comfortable chaise lounge area on the balcony as well as table and two chairs. We used the balcony a lot. Inside it had a large seating area with couch, coffee table, two cushioned chairs connected to a sleeping area with a King bed. Near the doorway to the outside hall, there was the minibar and a counter for coffee/tea set up and which was handy for room service items. There was a large walk in closet with safe, iron and ironing board, etc. The bathroom was huge and we loved it - two sinks, a Jacuzzi tub which fit two people, toilet in a set off separate area, and walk in shower with tiled bench. We spend a fair amount of time in our room (unlike alot of other reviewers) and were very pleased with this room in Building 2. It was above the Grill, which we had read other people not liking because of grill smells on the balcony. We didn't find it an issue except for once in 8 nights/9 days. Not a big deal. Our view was not as good as the first time we came to Tower Isle, but still very pretty and could see a portion of the Island (we overlooked the main pool and diving board fountain, which was beautiful at night). The only drawback to this room was that it was noisy later at night, but we were in the jive of Jamaica and didn't really care that much.

The coffee has changed at the resort; we did not get Blue Mountain coffee and missed it (we love very strong coffee). The food is very good for all inclusive ... really liked the Verandah and Bayside the best for dinner (we ate at all the restaurants at least once). The Patio was great for breakfast and I really liked the salad bar for lunch. The veggie bar was as good as we remembered and the grill still had wonderful jerk burgers. This visit we ordered room service more than usual; although it is a limited menu, we had consistently good food from it. Martinis still awesome at the piano bar and at Martini party (we only made the rooftop party once this time - but great view and excellent drinks - loved the event!). We went off property one night for dinner at Evita's (see separate review).

Had a hand treatment and a couples massage at the spa - staff is great there and highly recommend it!

We spent most our time swimming at the main pool, reading at the pool / on our balcony. Used the gym every day except one - small but good variety of equipment. The resort keeps it well stocked with needed items (towels, water, etc). Only had to wait for a treadmill once and not a long wait for that. Used the Internet room more often than usual due to Boston bombing (we have family in Boston) to stay connected with our family. Never a wait. Guest services were wonderful in arranging our transportation and dinner to Evita's, as well as a surprise for another guest couple. My husband had arranged to have flowers in the room upon arrival with a personalized card. These were stunning!!! They lasted the entire time we were there and were a great value (we could never have had such a beautiful arrangement for the price back home!). We were very impressed.

There are so many more things the resort offers that we don't use when there simply because we are looking to do nothing. But if you are more active and like lots of activities, the resort does provide a lot of watersports, social activities, entertainment at night, etc. On our previous visit we did climb Dunn's River Falls and highly recommend doing this included activity at least once - the Falls are stunningly beautiful and its a fun adventure. (If you go on this excursion be sure to heed the advice of the driver and guide up the falls to leave everything on the bus - you will lose anything in your pockets, even velcroed shut - ladies, leave jewelry in your safe in the room - my husband lost our room key cards, a necklace, and tip money all to the Falls god!!!).

The staff were overall very good and our housekeeper quite lovely and sweet ... the bellman was amazing given he was the only one when we arrived and when we left and, despite the chaos during each event, actually remembered our names. I am still impressed by that!

Recommend checking your bill the night before you leave, especially if the resort is full, so that you are pretty much good to go when arriving in the lobby the next day at your scheduled time. We had two wedding parties leaving the same time or an hour later and no one had done this ... the front desk staff were overwhelmed to say the least, especially when one woman did not agree with her bill and took over a half hour arguing the point with staff. We have been to a Couples resort 5 times now (Negril and Sans Souci in addition to Tower Isle) and have never seen a lineup to check out like we did this time.

Go and have a wonderful time at this beautiful resort!

Room Tip: Avoid Building 2 if you want quiet nights and there are weddings abounding. We preferred Building 3...

Lovely resort, grounds, beach, rooms, pools are very well kept on a round the clock basis. Food in the patio restaurant is delicious, have yet to do the others. The staff members who have been a real treat are the work experience lad in patio restaurant Keyna, great personality and would be an asset. The tennis coach is fab, enjoyed the lesson and we are going back for more. The lifeguard who is learning to play the guitar is a really natural people person, fun and a good guy. All and all trip so far has been enjoyable. We are in a garden room to the rear, although I was concerned about this prior to arrival, it is quiet and relaxing, lovely to sit in the veranda for breakfast and in the evening. Ps. The girls who organise the entertainment do an excellent job. . Well done and keep up the good work.

Room Tip: All in all a good resort, third trip to Jamaica, would recommend it to friends.have fun, chill or do...

I loved the staff very much! They made every moment worth remembering! so many activities offered by resort at no additional cost! If you love to kayak, snorkel, dive, or just hang out, this is the place. The things I wish would have been better: the food varied from restaurant. Bayside was the best. But room service was terrible. Also, didn't like that you have to make reservations for 2 of the restaurants. But other than that, it was a great place to stay!

We are repeaters who have previously stayed @ CN in April 2011 and have just returned from CTI where we stayed from April 25th to May 2nd 2013. We were quite apprehensive at first after we booked since we loved our stay at CN so much, but now I can safely say that we have found our new home @ Couples Tower Isle. So, on with the review:

Check in: Check in was smooth considering about 10 couples were there checking in but we were a bit disappointed to find out they had overbooked the resort and did not have the Deluxe Oceanview Room we had booked. Tara at the front desk was however very apologetic and accommodated us in one of their unadvertised “Villas” in the front garden area until they could move us the next morning. The Villa had its own small courtyard w/a sitting area, outdoor shower and pool with mini-waterfall, a huge bedroom and bathroom with whirlpool bathtub. These little private getaways would be perfect for someone who wants complete seclusion and could care less about an ocean view. They were however in dire need of repair and upgrades which would explain why they are not advertized and seem to be used for overbooking only. In the end, we realized our disappointment was mainly due to our travel exhaustion and wanting to “settle in”. We still enjoyed our one night of seclusion in what would have been the best rooms in the house about 25 years ago and appreciated that we had the opportunity to experience it.

Rooms/Hotel: The next morning we were immediately moved into room 4412. We were quickly blown away by the Deluxe Oceanview room and the view of the ocean and island which well exceeded the rooms we experienced in Couples Negril. The room really showcased the upgrade the hotel went through in fine fashion and was spotless. Bed was very comfortable. We liked the fact the rooms were laid out in hotel fashion with a quick walk even from the far end of bldg 4 where we were to the main pool. We also enjoyed the garden area which I walked each day to see the parrots. The resort has an air and ambiance to it that is hard to explain which is very breathtaking giving you a very romantic feeling. You can really feel how the stars of the 50’s and 60’s felt when you just pause to look at the resort from the beach or Bayside restaurant. It is a very beautiful building built in a beautiful part of the island. CTI definitely edges out CN for room quality and view.

Food/Drinks: We are foodies and did not experience one meal we disliked. Our favourite was the Eight Rivers Repeater’s dinner on Monday night. We ate dinner again @ Eight Rivers, twice at Bayside, twice at the Veranda and once at the buffet for dinner. We found Eight Rivers narrowly exceeded Negril’s Otaheite’s style and food quality. Bayside was also quite good but was clearly not as good as Lychee in Negril. We enjoyed the Veranda more than Bayside overall but Heliconia in Negril was better than the Veranda. The buffets at CTI and CN are very good but CN had more selection and slightly better quality. The grill @ CTI we did like better than CN also the Veggie Bar at CTI was to die for. We enjoyed lunch there and I had the best Panini I ever had: Smoked Marlin. The sweet potato chips and dips were out of this world as well as the Lebanese choices of Falafel pitas and Kibbeh! As a result however, I have to say that the edge goes to Couples Negril for food quality and selection but only by the narrowest of margins. Drinks were a bit inconsistent between bartenders but always Black Label on hand and other top shelf. Excellent drinks overall. Loved that they had Heineken @ the Piano bar as I am not a huge fan of Red Stripe.

Pools: Outstanding. The quiet main pool is where we parked each day and is very relaxing as you get to hear the ocean and waterfall all day. What an enjoyable pool and view of the ocean from it. We never spent any time @ the pool bar but it looked as enjoyable as Negril’s but smaller. I have to give CTI the nod over CN for pools.

Beach: Small but very picturesque and unlike CN: Private. However, Negril has a beach and water that cannot be matched so it’s no surprise CN’s beach get’s the win here. Being pool people it didn’t matter much to us because the rest of CTI made up for it.

Staff and Service: This is where CTI really shines. While CN’s staff was very friendly, nothing compares to the genuine caring, happy, very engaging and helpful staff at CTI who get to know you personally and treat you like family. It starts with the Bellman Byron when you check in who remembers your name and shouts out to you daily. We became quite attached to our new friend Adrian who worked the pools. His smile, conversation and friendship truly made each day a delight. Thank you Adrian, we will really miss you. We also got to know Charmaine, the resort’s Operations Manager at the repeater’s dinner. There was also Tanesha who worked the rooftop martini cocktail parties who we enjoyed great conversation with. Also Ramon who also worked the pools always came by to say hello and chat each day. You really became attached to these and the other wonderful people and THAT is what really sets CTI above what we have ever experienced before on vacation. It was so much harder to say goodbye this time because you truly become attached to the staff.

Nightlife: This was excellent. The Gala, the bands that play at night and the piano bar put this resort on top for us. We are not big partiers but really enjoyed our after dinner activities more so than at CN.

Excursions: We went to relax and only did the glass bottom boat and didn’t regret missing out on the other great inclusions others we met and made friends with thoroughly enjoyed.

Lobby and Patio: Very elegant and stylish with large doors open with a constant cool breeze blowing on you as you sit in front of one. This leads to the front patio where we relaxed after dinner and looked out at the ocean and stars. This is truly a wonderful part of the resort.

Overall: This resort should is a slice of heaven and relaxation where you truly feel at home and are treated like royalty. CTI is a magical and romantic place that anyone who has any hesitation about trying should bite the bullet and experience. We are so happy we chose CTI that we will be returning next year. Thank you Couples once again for such a wonderful experience. We are so blessed to be able to come into your home and leave relaxed and satisfied beyond belief. We have indeed found our new home at CTI.
