“Something for everyone”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Island Village has been designed to give the feel of authentic Jamaica, with lush planting and a river that so clear you can see fish swimming through it. Inside the shops are made in a wooden style with verandas and walkways connecting them all together, which makes it very pretty looking. There is a combination of clothes, perfume, sunglasses, jewellery and souvenior shops, nestled amongst food and drink shops. The cinema has two for one nights on Mondays and Tuesdays, otherwise it is $600 per person to watch a movie. Look out for Devon House i-Scream for the best Jamaican ice-cream and Margaritaville for (touristy and over priced) American food like burgers, fries and drinks and fun on the water slide and beach area. Margaritaville also has crazy club nights if you want something more geared towards adult entertainment, but you will have to use the side entrance (through the carpark) to enter Island Village, as they lock off the main entrance in the evening. Reggae Explosion is also there which has events sometimes. If you venture further down the road you will find other shopping plazas craft markets that offer many more ways to splash the cash!

“Fun little tourist adventure”
Reviewed June 19, 2013

Good shopping with less stress than the markets. Vendors will bargain with you. We were rushed because we were on a tour, but wish we could've spent a little more time there.

“Get ready to bargain”

The ability to haggle is a skill you need when you visit Island village for shopping. There are a great number of vendors with wares of all sorts - be adventurous but be smart!

“Very touristy and very high priced.”
Reviewed March 29, 2013

There are a few cool things in this complex but most is geared to be high priced and touristy . Although at night sometimes it is open for parties this is when it is at its best.
