My Wife and I are in our mid 40's. We stayed in B-block second floor in November '05. It was the single best time we have ever had. We've travelled throughout the caribbean in the 24 years we've been married, and never have we found a more relaxing, romantic place. We are planning to return again in October or November this year, and will probably return every year from now on. I write now because I like to read the reviews of others, comparing theirs with and remembering our stay. I've got to say, WHO are these people who write such terrible reviews? IT IS JAMAICA, EVERYONE! Slow down, relax. If you want non-stop excitement, go elsewhere. The Resort is COMFORTABLE, as in Quiet & NOT brand new. If you're into being with your spouse, seeing beautiful tropical sights, drinking exotic drinks, eating very good (OK Not excellent) food, experiencing a new & slower calmer culture.....This is it! Plan on tipping, not because you have to, but because they deserve it; and because it's human nature to treat people better when you yourself feel appreciated when you do your job well. I tipped and tipped well.... We were treated beautifully, and lacked for nothing except more time.
When you go, plan on these activities at least:
Dunn's River Falls - When you think Jamaica, You gotta think this. The guides are hilarious, and the climb is truly spectacular.
Swim with Dolphins- Amazing smart creatures, meet & play with them. You swim right next to them, they pull you through the water and play games with you.
Try the Nude Beach - Be bold, try it - As long as everyone is nude (As opposed to "Clothing Optional"), nobody cares about anyone else gawking at them. Bathers are there to just enjoy the feeling of the sun & breeze against their bare skin.
Go shopping off property - haggle, bargain, or just look at the sights around you - nothing else makes you feel so "out of the USA".
Go snorkelling - the fish and plant life are incredible, and No Classes required.
Relax, Eat on your balcony or in bed, Lie in the sun, Try all the resteraunts.....
This place is absolutely great. Don't miss it!

Thank you Couples Sans Souci. You made a vacationer out of my husband. We loved this resort. We were at Sans Soucil from June 17 -21, 2006 and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment. This was the first time that my husband has been on a real vacation. He is the type that is hard to relax and definitely not a water person. By the afternoon, he was on the beach and in the water.

I do not know what type of people wrote those negative reviews, but I question where they actually stayed. From the moment we got to the Couple's lounge, we were treated like royalty. We never lifted a finger to do anything other than use the phone for room service. The grounds were exceptional and beautiful, the food was awesome, the staff fantastic. I mentioned that I would like to try some gingerbeer to one of the waiters. He told us he would take care of it as they did not have it at the bar. When we arrived back in our room later that evening, there were three bottles of gingerbeer in our mini bar!! We were very impressed to say the least. The second day, my husband stated that we would definitely be back next year. He did not want to leave.

We stayed in the B block and had the perfect view of the beach and ocean and were centrally located to everything. I would definitely recommend the A or B block rooms. The ride to the airport was not bad at all and just be prepared , but the guide was very funny and informative. Our check in was smooth and we were greeted with cool towels and a cold drink. We were then driven to our room and escorted to our rooms. What service.

We will definitely be returning to Sans Soucil next year if not sooner!!

My husband and I just returned from Couples Sans Souci. It far exceeded our expectations and our standards are way up there. I tend to get the "heebie-jeebies" if a place is the least bit dirty or run-down. For some reason, this makes me think constantly about how many people have been in my bed, tub, shower, etc...CSS was so clean and fresh, that I was completely comfortable. The housekeeping staff was beyond ANYTHING I have ever experienced. The check in went smoothly. Transfers to and from the airport, though 2hrs long, was in a nice a/c van and a nice car with a very" tour guiding " driver.
We loved the swim up bar at the main pool. The restaurants were all very good, but our favorite was the Casnova and it was nice because we saved it til the last night and "dressed for dinner". Nice way to end a remarkable trip! We never left the property. There is so much planned and unplanned to do.. Do not miss the swim up Bingo!!! Also be sure and take a sailing lesson and ride the water bikes.These are all included and quite "vacationy".I pretty much lived in my swim suit and cover up during the day. About 4PM we headed back to the room to rest and get ready for dinner. After dinner we headed for the Balloon Bar, as they have some really good, live entertrainment. We come from a family where entertainment is quite important and we were satisfied completetly w/ the variety. My husband is 58 and I am 53. The walking did not bother us. We were in A block with a corner beachfront room on the second floor. It was perfect, and our location was really close to everything during the day, and at night we had a nice stroll to the bar, but we took our time and felt fine We plan to return and this is a first for us. We like to go to new places. Before I went , I could not believe how many reviews this had. Now, I see why. One other thing...we love our kids and grandkids, but it was nice to not be knocked off a raft by a cannon ball, and there really were not any people there to find mates.. This made the atmosphere like no place I had ever been. We made many new friends, from newlyweds in their 20's, to couples older than us on their honeymoon or anniversary.Don't miss this place!!!
