“Wonderful Stay”
Reviewed October 24, 2012

This review is well overdue however I wanted to share that my husband and I had an amazing vacation at Sans Souci over Christmas 2011. Originally we had one bedroom ocean view suite (F2) overlooking the lobby entrance and balloon bar - very loud on both sides and with a small bathroom. We were lucky enough to moved to G11 at the very end of the resort and could not have asked for a better view or location! Never got tired of the giant balcony, even in the rain. Food was good everywhere although the beach was slow for lunch and dinner. Enjoyed the small cove beach with the floaties. Did try Sunset Beach so crossed off the bucket list. Lovely beach, nice people. Favourite part of the day was heading up to the mineral pool in the afternoon for a smoothie and a snooze! Loved how lush and beautiful the resort was. If you can handle the stairs, the upper side of the resort would be my choice. Only two negative was that the resort ran out of water - in the middle of my shower! The next afternoon water was back without any serious inconvenience. Room was tired but huge and very clean.

Towards end of the trip a large wedding group came in and completely changed the vibe of the resort. They were loud and beach hogs. All the the other guests were not impressed.

Did a swap to Couples Tower Isle and vastly preferred Sans Souci with it's big, beautiful grounds and quiet atmosphere. TI was more a hotel on a small beach and felt like there was nowhere to go or wander.

Room Tip: G11, a one bedroom ocean suite was amazing! G block would be our choice again.

We loved our time Sans Souci. The food was fabulous. The service, from management to our waiter/waitresses was just absolutely out of this world. We felt like and was treated like royality the whole time we were there. On a scale of 1 - 10, we would rate Couples Sans Souci a 20, and highly recommend it. And YES we will go back.

Room Tip: All rooms have a beautiful view. If you don't like climbing stairs, you might want to request a...

It has been a few years since we have been here however traveling to other resorts and my husband and I comparing them all I felt this one really needed a review (better late than never) seeing it is one of our favorites in comparison. In the Jamaica area. My review shows we were there in July of 2012 (I was limited with the drop down selections) We were there in July of 2009.

The service was top notch during the entire stay. They went out of their way to make you feel special and that your money was well spend on staying with them. Food was great, entertainment was nightly and after that ended a lot of people ended up at the beach bar. Service there was great as well. The Entertainment team worked really hard each day we saw them. Rooms were nice, we staying by the beach bar area/pool and it was a good size room. My husband sat outside one night and watched them set up the area for the weekly party and they worked hard for hours doing it. They have a really neat property to explore. There are a lot of steps as it is built along a cliff. If you are not good with going up and down steps they have a golf cart that you just call the front desk and they will pick you up and take you to area you need to go for dinner, beach, pools etc. Gotta see the turtle, if it is still around. It was a very old turtle over by the spa and it was huge. Spa service was outstanding for massages, we ended up going back for a 2nd couples massage it was so good. This is one place we will go back too!

Room Tip: We liked the Beach level area however from talking to others it sounds like everyone liked where the...

This was a truly unique resort...nothing standard or pre fab. Food was amazing...simply amazing. Staff were truly a delight. Rooms are a little dated, but the resort itself is so unique and spectacular doesn't really matter. The view from the huge balconies and the comfortable beds make the rooms perfect. Upgrade to the one bedroom suite for the most amazing views from your room while you sit on the balcony drinking your morning coffee with creme rum! YUM!
Will never go to the same resort twice, but will stay withing the Couples Family for sure!

This was our 2nd time to San Souci and 7th to Jamaica. Very pleased coming back. Love the quiet, beautiful property. Most time we felt like we're the only couple there. So romantic.
The food was awesome at the restaurants but did not care much for the two buffet nights. Just the same salads and desserts. Liked the entertainment. Drinks seemed not as strong as usual so would ask for a double.
The service was great and very accommodating through out the resort. We asked to move our room because we preferred G block from last time and we moved the next day. Had a few things not working in room but was taken care of.
We each had 2 massages and they were awesome. Asked for Ruth and Jackie and they were still there! Great to see them. Best massages and so relaxing in the hideaway.
The team at the watersports were great. We went snorkeling and had a fun time. Got to snorkel around the shipwreck, very cool.
This was our 3rd couples resort and enjoyed them all. Would like to try Couples Negril and would come back to San Souci.

This is our second trip to San Souci. We love the atmosphere and the relaxation. The staff is very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a quiet getaway with enough activity but not the big "party club" then this is your place. Many guests are repeaters so that should say much about the place. The food is very good and plenty of it. The au naturel beach is great and since it is not clothing optional, you do not have the uncomfortable feeling of being stared at by "gawkers". Also there is the au naturel pool, hot tub, and grill. The problem is there are no night time activities on that side! The rooms are clean and comfortable but dated. They seem to have a water issue as the last time we were without water for a little while for a water leak and this time some of the guests were talking about the same problem, however our room never lost water. We did have a roof leak and water came down the walls into our room two times and I heard other guests say their room leaked during the rain storm. So there are a few problems...well in Jamaica there are no problems just situations as they say!!!! The good outweighs the "situations" and absolutely we will go back!!!! By the way, the many water activities and some trips are included.

Room Tip: A and B block a little noisier as close to activities. Other blocks a little more secluded and quiet...

This was our third stay at Sans Souci and fifth time in Jamaica in less than 2 years. Needless to say we love Jamaica but we love Sans Souci even more. The staff is the best we have ever seen and the grounds are paradise. We always stay in the beachfront rooms which we find more central and not too many stairs to climb. This time I had my PADI open water and made the most of it by diving 9 times with the fantastic dive team of Leon, Nicholas and Patrick. Plenty of variety in the dive sites and saw something different every day. These guys are very professional and put safety first. Looking forward to going back and doing my advanced open water with these guys next year.
