arranged a tour driver to take us,and upon arrival was told that the property was closed unless there was an event planned. Was very disappointed you couldn't get permission just to take pictures. We pleaded with the Manager, and was given a soild no.it would have been nice to see the area.

“Beautiful Island jewel”
Reviewed May 26, 2013

Very naturally beautiful seaside location- ideal for weddings and parties. Offers privacy but easy to access from both Kgn and Montego Bay.

“Loved It!”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

We absolutely loved this beach it is incredible. Just be aware that this isn't a public area as its owned by the Government, so depending on who the security guard is you may not be able to stop and walk around the beach. We arrived by hobby cat and had a chance to check out the falls which were very pretty. It's fun to walk to the mouth of the river and and sort of dunk under the water and when you come up you can feel the different layers of temperature. Go check it out!

“Who ever cut the trees should not be laughing”
Reviewed January 9, 2013

Laughing waters was one of the most gorgeous spots in Jamaica - that is until the government(Parrish or National) cut down some of the trees that overhung on the gorgeous waterfall that flowed down into the Caribbean. Since 2001 I took guest to my villa there until about 2-3 years ago when the trees were cut down. There were also vendors there selling trinkets and ganja and they seem to be scarce to non-existent. I understand that the sale of "smoke" may have been an issue bit to destroy some of the natural habitat to discourage vendors to make it a less desirable location - if that is why they did it - has ruined the aura of the special place. Really, it it not worth the motor gas to go there now - ask instead to have your "captain" to take you to some other secluded beach along the coast.
