Owner description: Charming waterfalls overlook a small but beautiful beach, offering some much-needed relief from the tropical heat.

Laughing waters was one of the most gorgeous spots in Jamaica - that is until the government(Parrish or National) cut down some of the trees that overhung on the gorgeous waterfall that flowed down into the Caribbean. Since 2001 I took guest to my villa there until about 2-3 years ago when the trees were cut down. There were also vendors there selling trinkets and ganja and they seem to be scarce to non-existent. I understand that the sale of "smoke" may have been an issue bit to destroy some of the natural habitat to discourage vendors to make it a less desirable location - if that is why they did it - has ruined the aura of the special place. Really, it it not worth the motor gas to go there now - ask instead to have your "captain" to take you to some other secluded beach along the coast.

Excellent event location in Jamaica. Has waterfalls, beach and nice garden setting. Only downside lots of steps to get to the beach.

Less commercial waterfall experience than Dunns River -
it felt more authentic -
had an opportunity to really interact with the locals -
took some great photos too!
Respect!

This beach was beautiful and the waterfall was fun to sit in. There is security on the beach so probably need to go with a guide from hotel who knows them.

Since it's owned by the gov't it's not really accessible to the public by road but we were able to go on the hobie cat and loved it. Very serene beach with waterfalls going straight into the ocean. A mini version (and quiet) of Dunn's River Falls. Make sure you try the "jacuzzi" while you're there. Sooo cooling!
