Owner description: A must on the list of places to explore and activities to enjoy in Jamaica, the eco-friendly Mystic Mountain, 2010 Tourism Excellence award-winner for Ocho Rios attractions, is an unforgettable rainforest adventure for everyone in your family. A trip to Mystic Mountain in Ocho Rios, St Ann, could take you towering as much as 700 feet above the rainforest above the picturesque shoreline, affording you a captivating bird's-eye view of the town, cruise-ship pier and turquoise waters as far away as St Mary. If you prefer, you could choose to zip line among the trees or bobsled down the mountain meandering in-between shrubs and trees. The rainforest tour, which is spread over 100 acres of lush lands and rated among the best experiences to have in Jamaica, provides you with an up-close glimpse and thrilling experience in a Jamaican rainforest near the beach. Plus, it gives you the chance to explore your adventurous side on one of four activities, including the SkyExplorer, the Bobsled Ride, the Canopy Zip Line and the unique Mystic Waterslide.

We booked this through Royal Caribbean. It was a combo tour with Dunns River Falls. The tour bus met us outside the shopping district found just outside the cruise port. The A/C'd van drove us to Mystic Mountain for a bobsled ride & lunch.

You start with a 10-15 minute chairlift ride to the top of the mountain. The bobsled ride was fun...but the line was very slow moving. Word to the wise for thrill seekers, DON'T USE THE BRAKE!!! You won't go flying off the track, but it made for a funnier ride! We rode with 2 carts strapped together since we were traveling with a 6 & 8 year old who weren't tall enough to ride by themselves.

The lunch was nothing to write home about & very limited choices. Staff was not exuding friendliness. A nice surprise was the infinity edge pool and the water slide into it! Be sure to take your swimsuit & towel!

There is a cool lookout tower at the top of the restaurant which made for some nice pictures. You finish up with a trip back down to the base via the very same chairlifts!

Had a lot of problems with Mystic Mountain who manages this ride and teams up with other attractions to provide tours. I explained that our daughter and granddaughter would be meeting us when their ship docked in port, they did not coordinate and it left our family waiting for us when they could have had us in the same place at the same time. Very POOR customer service, and they only offered an extra ride should have refunded, due to the confusion at Dunn's River and Mystic Mountain.

Took the family (2 adults, 4 kids 11-17 yrs) to Mystic Mountain in Jan. 2013. As some others have said, pretty costly activity, but we loved it and would go back for sure. It was my first time on a zipline and I felt safe the whole time we were on the course. The kids loved the bobsled (once was enough for me) and did it several times. The lift ride up to the top was beautiful, we spent time in the hummingbird garden, and one kid even made time to get into the infinity pool (said it was cold though). I really liked reading through all the Jamaican history that is on display at the visitor centre. We actually found that we didn't have enough time there and could have easily spent a few more hours exploring the area.

We had a great time on the Rainforest Bobsled excursion. The ski-lift ride gave us many post-card type pictures that we will always treasure. The bob-sled ride was truly a lot of fun. The Rainforest is well worth the time to see.

My husband and I really enjoyed this. It was, however, outrageously expensive and very "assembly line-ish". we waited for over an hour to just get on the zip line and our transportation left without us and we had to wait until another driver "felt like" taking us back the three miles to our resort. Again, fun but...wouldn't do it again.
