We stayed in Ocho Rios for 15 days and ate at this restaurant 3 times, and the reason
is simple. This is the best restaurant in ocho rios, great service and the food is really
delicious, you have to eat here!

Recently while celebrating Christmas and our Family Reunion, we had dinner at The Ruins. This was one of the highlights of our trip. Twenty five family members were treated to a delicious buffet of Jamaican dishes, seafood, beef, soup, dessert and drinks. The cost was very reasonable and worth every cent. The manager Mr. Denzil Thompson was very friendly and attentive. He suprised us with complimentary lobster tails!! The server did a wonderful job taking care of all our needs. The 40ft waterfall added to the ambiance. We will recommend The Ruins to all and we will be sure to stop by for dinner when next in Ocho Rios.

We had a great experience here. The food was delicious and the presentation was thoughtful. The service was first class and the view of the 40ft waterfall was spectacular. The menu had a variety of traditional Jamaican,Chinese, seafood and beef. They had the most mouth watering dinner rolls that were hot.steamy and buttery. Though it was a top budget dinner the service, view and of course the food was worth it. The manager took the time to visit with us and pack our left overs to go.

We have found a gem! We attended The Ruins for dinner while on vacation in Jamaica and we cannot say enough about our meal! My hausband started with the lobster bisque that was made table side along with the fried shrimp. I started with the ceaser salad that I found very tasty with a nice light dressing and the spring rolls!! Out of this world spring rolls. Our server was very professional and did a lovely job. The atmosphere is outstanding here. We enjoyed our meal beside the spring fed waterfall. Just breath taking. This setting is perfect for weddings. The presentation of the meals is outstanding. Time and effort went into each dish. My husbad had the surf and turf for his main course, " best lobster ever!"!!! I had the filet mignon which was melt in my mouth delicious. We did not have room to eat dessert but wish I had! The manager was very friendly and ensured that we were enjoying our experience.
Thank you Denzil and all the others at The Ruins!! We will be back and we will recommened your place to all!!!
Thank you for a lovely evening!

The place has the best view of any restaurant in Jamaica. They have $16 buffet lunches with a variety of meat entrees. Not much vegetarian options though.

Dinner at night is magical with the falls and the lighting. You can go there for the views, if not for the food.
