Had an amazing time! This resort is very clean, not too big and the staff are extremely friendly.
No problem checking in. The front desk staff were very helpful especially Tokoya. I can't wait to go back!!!!

Room Tip: All rooms are ocean view, quiet rooms are in the Sunset bldg. I stayed in the main bldg and loved it...

This was my very first all-inclusive experience. It was pretty good. The staff at Decameron where very professional and courteous. I enjoyed the food here. They had a lot of local flavours like Jerk Chicken, Fried Bammy, and other things.

The resort is very close to the airport and nearby a couple really nice paid beaches.

Had a great time. Get an ocean view if you can afford it. It's a pretty nice view.

Room Tip: Get an Ocean View. You won't regret it! We had room 37 and the it was beautiful!

Stayed at the Royal Decameron from 2/11/13 to 9/11/13 for the second time. Result: Just as good as the first time; medium size (so you didn't get lost in the crowd, the staff new your name), friendly staff (actually the staff were not just friendly, they were great), ultra clean (they even rake the sand), good food, good entertainment, nice, inviting and very clean rooms, good music from a variety of Jamaican reggae, blue beat and Ska artists. It would be unfair to focus on any one item: as per Spock, the whole is the sum of all of the parts and there wasn't one part of this hotel that is worthy of a negative criticism. Sorry, I would mention that the mattress was a bit too soft. But would I go back; absolutely; this is an hotel that takes pride in its service and appearance. I wish I could give the same comments to the airline. We travelled via CanJet; what a mistake; old planes (the screen drops from the ceiling old), seats were broken and sardine close (my tray didn't fall as a result) and the audio was inaudible. But the crew were great and did the best they could, but a very cheap airline. I'll do my best to avoid it.

Royal Decameron Montego Bay

This resort was much nicer than I expected. The location was close to the airport and within a mile of area entertainment and activities. The check-in process was quick, but a little behind the times, as they have keys and wristbands. There are no top shelf liquors only Appleton Rum and a Vodka. The breakfast buffet was decent, but the food at the specialty restaurant was very tasty.

The rooms were clean and the view was amazing. There were no bath towels in the room, but they were delivered quickly. Ice trays are only on every other floor, but they are completely at the other end of the property. It is quicker to stop at the lobby bar and get ice by the glass.

The property is nicely maintained and the staff was very friendly. There is no room service or in-room Internet and there is a fee of $20 to use the Wi-Fi in the lobby area. There is a beach grill with burgers, hot dogs, fries, and pizza that’s also open for late night meals.

The nightly entertainment was just that, entertaining. There is a night club or a shuttle service available that goes to Margaritaville at 11:45 nightly and returns at 2 a.m.

I would definitely recommend this resort to the budget conscious. The view alone is worth the experience.

Room Tip: A room on the ocean side of the property near the middle of the resort will provide the widest view...

This resort was much more reasonably priced than others we looked at. The beaches are small but nice. Most of the staff are very friendly. The pools and hot tub were very clean and there was music and activities during the day. The food was okay for the most part. Really enjoyed the french toast and omelet station for breakfast. We ate a couple of nights in the restaurant because of what was being served in the main dining room for dinner. Take heed, be on time for your restaurant reservation. They also have a grill for snacks. This is a nice place for the price.

Room Tip: We had room 225 and from the balcony we could see the garden, pool, and a little of the ocean.

We travelled as a couple the week of Oct 27th thru Nov 3rd. First and foremost I can not stress enough how wonderful so many of the staff members are at this resort. I left a little teary eyed saying good bye to them.

If you are looking for a 5* resort based on amenities this may not be the place for you. The rooms are very simple but clean and the beds are comfy - great showers with hot water.

The beach is minimal so if beach is what you want this may not be the place for you but the pools are nice, clean with ampile padded lounge chairs to lay on. Food was great, many options at each meal, a mix of jamaican and N American foods, as well as a BBQ bar on the beach with pizza, burgers and fries. Very fresh fruits and salad at every meal.

The resort is litterally 5 mins from the airport and watching the planes come in over the water was fascinating - and NO there isn't noise, the water absorbs the sound.

At any given time there were people washing, sweeping, mopping, painting something, they clearly take great pride in making this resort nice for the guest.

The evening entertainment was good, we didnt make it to the disco so I can't comment on that.

We are counting down the days until we can return to this resort.

A special thank you to Denton, for being beyond helpful to us. Thank you to Eliesha, Rayon and Rupert out wonderful bar staff, we had a lot of laughs - we miss you all and your kindness already!

Room Tip: Rooms 111-115 would be the best, its a walk out to the pool/pool bar and a wonderful view of the oce...
