RETURN STAY

Just return from a nine day stay . @ST James.The place was beautiful. We had a great time.The location was wonderful.

Wonderful Honeymoon

My husband and I recently returned from a 5 day stay at Secrets St. James. The experience was wonderful. The resort was beautiful and clean. The staff was so accomodating and friendly. We were given an upgrade to a honeymoon suite and received a champagne breakfast and all of this was offered by Tameica the wonderful front desk person. She was so accomodating and the upgraded room was so awesome. The food was good....not great but good. The World Cafe and Hitmusu were my favorite. The bar service at evey location was outstanding. The entertainment was great and the activities were great too. I loved loved loved my stay and I can't wait to go back!!!!!

Never Dissapoints Me in Jamaica

The hotel is only 20 minutes from the Airport, actually from the resort you can see the cruise ships go in and out. Beautiful place, our room had a king size bed , our room was facing the Pool and the ocean. Maid service was great. The food was unbleveiiable. Their beach is not very big, but there wasn't alot of people when we went in August. They had movie nite twice a week. My husband and i watched a movie and then went to dinner, felt like we were on a date. The jerk chicken cart along the beach was excellent. One day They put tables and chairs in the water and had a beach buffet, which was so cool.
The waitresses come to you on the beach and deliver your drinks to you, which was fantastic. Next to St. James is Secrets Orchid which is more luxury, it is like 2 hotels combined in one,but you could still use the bar and pool . There is a bar next to the check-in desk. This resort has a spa. I will come back again, it was so relaxing. The sunsets are beautiful...

Room tip: . Ask for a upgrade you won't know unless you ask. They can only say no. But they might let you have it.

Would never go back

Well this will be the only time you will get correct view of what this hotel is all about
we stayed at this hotel aug-sept 2011 for a 10 day holiday
to most this is acceptable standard of living on first apperance however as the holiday
continued the standard of service got worse
The bed was never changed until i forced the issue and the cleaning standard was very poor we also had items taken from our room which were never returned and our neighbour in the complex had other stuff taken from them aswell
the attitude when making a complaint about it was also not handled correctly and only when we said we would contact the police they did anything about it
The Preferred Club was also not controlled and anyone was allowed the use the pool the bar and anything else the club offered for that matter so if you pay extra for this dont as it not worth it at all
The restaurants are also very basic aswell just have titles but serve mass commercial foods not what they are titled
however the japanese is the best quality and worth a visit
the resort as a whole was a dissapointment and a waste of money with no real entertainment apart from the pools and drinking the staff at the resort will also treat you differently if you tip or they ignor you when its time for them to do anything for you
we found this very rude and unhelpfull
I would never come here ever again and would not recomend it and if you are reading this think again and choose somewhere else or you will be dissapointed
I would say the best thing about this place is when you leave as when the gates close its a great feeling knowing you dont ever have to go back !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have indeed improved on our control of our Preferred Club areas and amenities by posting the necessary signage and effecting the necessary controls so that our Preferred guests enjoy the full benefit this allows for. We also have reviewed and made the necessary changes to our housekeeping process to ensure that the required standards are met and maintained.

We are extremely aggressive with our tipping policy and our staff are very much aware that solicitation of any kind calls for immediate disciplinary action.

As the safety and security of our guests has been and remains one of our top priorities, we are
also very interested in learning more about the incident which necessitated the local police to be called in.

Highly recomended

My girl friend and I stayed at Secrets St. James, Montego bay with two of our close friends. I am diabetic and after waking up late the day we left for vacation, I forgot my extra insulin pen. I realized this in the air on our way. When we arived I spoke with a lady at the check in desk and I told her my situation. I needed to find a way to ship one of my insulin pens to the resort. I wish I knew her name but I was so focused on solving this problem that I did not get her name. She refered me to an employee at the resort, his name was Lance. He did absolutely everything he could do to help me. He got me in touch with a fedex rep. in jamacia and also gave me his business card to contact him if I needed anything. Eventualy I ended up at the nurses office at the resort. The nurse on duty was so unbelievably helpful, I can not put in to words how greatful I am for her service. She quickly got on the phone, after hearing my situation, and solved my problem within minutes. I did not get her name either, she did not have a name tag and I was really too busy thanking her for saving my vacation, as was my girl friend. I want to make sure that she and Lance get some type of recognition for their above and beyone service they gave me on my visit and I can not thank them enough. The resort was unbelieviable and I can not wait to visit again next year. Every one from the resort that I encountered there was great and they have been some of the most friendly and kind people I have met in my life. I will spread the word of my experience and how much fun Secrest, St. James is. I am happy to say that I can not wait to go back next year and look forward to another great time!

Room tip: We had the basic room and it was unbelievable, I can't imagine how anything better.
