We stayed at Sandals Inn in Montego Bay, Jamaica, for 4 days in late July. It was an intimate hotel with wonderful service and friendly people. We had access to all of the other Sandals resorts in Jamaica and actually went to 4 of the others to swim, eat and enjoy the beaches. It was nice to go to the other hotels, which were larger and busier, to do water activities and then come back to the peace and quiet of Sandals Inn. With such a small resort, get to know a lot of the other guests and the staff, so it is like coming home every evening.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and very quiet. Our room had a view of the pool, which was nice.

We booked two tours out of our hotel and had a great time on both of them. The gentleman who helped us book the tours was a Sandals employee and really helped us get tours that matched our interest and our time restrictions. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

We loved our stay and would definitely like to go back again in the near future.

I enjoyed everyday spent at the Sandals Inn. The staff treated us like family and we hated to leave. We are definitely going back for a visit!!

You also get to visit the other nearby Sandals Resorts and this is a nice feature of the resort.

There are all types of things to do and you will walk away educated.

As with anyone traveling, just be careful and aware of your surroundings.

I just need to compliment the extraordinary staff at the Inn at Montego Bay! We were there for six nights but our memories are forever.

We wanted to celebrate our 25th anniversary in a special way. I am a teacher in Florida and we are raising 2 teenage children so money was a major concern.
I did my homework and chose the Inn.

Our room was upgraded and the décor was great! It was clean and well cared for. The king size bed was unbelievably comfortable. The bathroom was slightly dated but served its purpose just fine.

The food was very good especially at the Carlisle which takes reservations only.
Be sure to do this as soon as you get there for the other Sandals restaurants as well. Tacia is efficient at setting up any/ all of your needs. I recommend the Thai at Royal Caribbean.

The Inn does not have their own private beach but the effective shuttle service allowed us to experience more than we ever would have if we had just stayed at one resort.

Our days were spent exploring the other resorts and their amenities. We also went to Negril with Dalton Clark ( this was a blast!) and to Dunn's River Falls to see more of the island but we were so happy to finally get "home" to the Inn. The gardens, bar and pool area are immaculate. The pool and hot tub are available 24 hours a day.

Cheryl, Doreen, Paul, Milton, Tacia, David, Antonette, Kenisha the housekeeping staff and everyone else made us feel so special.

The extent to which this staff serves its guests is unlike any I have ever experienced. They go above and beyond the call of duty. Most of them work hard six days a week as a team. They are always friendly and happy which just enhanced our experience.

Hats off to the lovely employees at Sandals Inn Montego Bay.
You are 'inn' our hearts forever.
Yea Mon!!

That staff was great at this resort. They were very accommodating to our requests. On night we pass one staff member (name is Jamal) on street. We asked him how to get to Jimmy’s Buffet Margaritaville. Not only did he tell us how to get there, he told us which side of the street was better for us to walk on. The next day when we saw him, he asked us if we found ok and that we didn’t have any problems getting back to the hotel.
Another Staff member that went out of his way for us was Milton. I wanted to change in some of my money for Jamaican money to bring back with me. He found the crispest of the dollars and the shiniest of the coins.
We were just a little disappointed that we didn’t have a private beach at our resort and we had to leave our hotel if we wanted to do any of the water sports that were offered. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Sincerely,
Kim and Mark.

upon arrival we were somewhat impressed. never stayed at a sandals before or had any kind of official vacation. first night we laid low. second day we took the free bus to the two other sandals- montego bay and royal carribean and realized what we were missing. sandals inn does not have a beach. across the street is a dirty ,shabby public beach that is anything but what you'd expect from a luxurious resort beach. that night we returned eager to transfer to one of the other sandals. we got back after dinner around 10pm and there were no night activities (friday night) so we went in the pool. after about 15 minutes one of the lights from inside the pool popped out and was floating. i went to tell the front desk. he did not seem alarmed at all but after i made him aware of the incompatibility of water and electricity asked me to tell the other guests they should get out. then we asked if there were any board games or cards. he replied that the entertainment staff was at sumfest (a yearly concert) so there was no access to the games. we returned to our room and were out on the balcony for a while. when we decided to retire for the night we found that we were locked out. when we realized that the security guard was asleep on the bench by the front entrance we called to some others who were in the pool (light still hanging). they went to the front desk. after another 20 mins they realized we were still up there and told the front desk again. another 15 mins later he tried to open the door, but we had the physical lock on so they could not just open it. we then got to speak with the gentleman from the balcony. we asked for the key to the balcony door. he arrived another 15-20 mins later with the news that there was none. he would call to the other sandals to get maintenance. after about a total of an hour and forty five minutes they got the door open and had an attitude that we had locked ourselves out. we actually didnt even know that the door locked, but the lock button was not even pushed in! when they realized that they somewhat apologized and told us they would come back to fix it in the morning. this was at around 245am. the next morning we needed to wake early to speak with the manager to get transferred. at around 6:30am we were awoken by music from the street coming from a car with bullhorns mounted on top of it. when that stopped an hour later the car alarm started for another half hour. when we got downstairs at 8am the manager was not yet in. finally we saw her and she told us we looked tired and asked if we went to sumfest (she was not even notified that we were stranded on the balcony all night!) when we told her that we were locked out she asked if my husband locked us out in a joking manner. she soon realized that were not feeling very jokingly about our escapades the previous night. she called and got us transferred (for an extra $90 a night) with no apologies and no offerings of any way to compensate for our troubles. if you are looking for a resort vacation stay away!! it is not worth the few dollars you save!!!! it is like staying at a motel, not what you expect when you hear sandals.
sorry for the long post. i felt that people need to know what our stay was like. i would have liked to know.

The hotel is lovely, the staff very accommodating. The hotel is older and unlike the pictures might indicate, the beach is very public. The street out front that you have to cross to access the beach is noisy. The locals are hanging out in the street. You can use the other facilities so if that is ok with you you can be gone during the day.

The hotel is also very green, which is nice except that the windows beside the balcony doors are slatted shutters without glass, so the humidity is constant in the room. Also, the air conditioning shuts off when you open your entry door or balcony door.

The temps are high in the summer with much humidity so we opted to move to another Sandals resort. The staff were wonderful in helping us arrange that.
