My Husband and I just returned from a trip with the Kia Motors Service Elite Group. This year we went to Montego Bay, Jamaica and stayed at the Half Moon Bay Resort. We went a couple of days ahead of the group so we could extend our trip a little since it was a all day flight. when we arrived at the resort they checked us in to the Hibiscus Suites, very nice right on the water and I just loved it. Then on Sunday they moved us to the Royal Villas with the rest of the Kia Group.

They put us in Villa 94, there were 7 suites in our villa our own pool and our own staff, Butler, housekeeper, and chef. This staff was amazing. I don't think that I can enough about our staff, they went above and beyond there duties. the chef Nursheft Wilson cook for us everyday, making us breakfast at early hours so we could go on our excursions with the Kia group and never complaining that she had to stay there 24 -7 She was such a joy to have in the house.she made every one what they wanted for breakfast everyday I ask one morning for a tomato sandwich with bacon and I got it everyday, I love Bacon and Tomato sandwiches. The housekeeper Paula Brown keep our Villa clean and our rooms spotless and turned down our beds everynight, ironed our clothes and even did all of our laundry, I have never come home from a trip with all clean clothes, The Butler, lets see where do I start, Rochester Wray WoW!!!
I wanted to bring him home with me, We could not believe what he did for us while we where there. He waited on us and foot, bring us drinks in the pool, setting up reservations in the restaurants if we wanted, one night after we had all gone out we came back to the Villa and Rochester had set up for us a big spread by the pool, blenders to make drinks, snacks, and all the mixer and beer. We had a great party and lots of the Kia group Started partying at Villa 94.He did for us what ever we wanted, took very good care of us. couldn't ask for anyone better to be your Butler. What a great person he is very personal and professional We all loved him, So if you every go to Half Moon Bay Resort and Stay in the Royal Villas ask for them to be your staff, you will not be disappointed , and remember all Roads in the Villa leads to 94.
Were they know what Royalty means and treats you as such....... We all love Rochester, Paula and Nursheft.....

I spent 4 weeks at the Half Moon in January on their timeshare program, with my wife and many guests. Although not inexpensive, you get what you pay for. Two miles of unspoiled beautiful beaches, bicycles, fabulous dining and consistently excellent staff make this place a paradise.
Golfers will especially be pleased with the Robert Trent Jones championship 18 hole track. You have the option of walking with a caddie, or riding a cart and taking a fore caddie ( the caddies are friendly and excellent). The course is very good, challenging and built for walking. Without rushing, I finished about five rounds every week in well under four hours--once in 3 hours 15 minutes. The pro, Spencer Edwards runs a great shop; you store clubs, shoes, etc. let them know when you will play the next day and everything will be in place and ready for you, including your favorite caddie if you have one. Do yourself a favor : go. You won't regret it.

Room Tip: Reservations staff is very helpful. I use the old fashioned telephone to get help. I always ask for...

We just returned from our third trip to this resort. Before we discovered this place we traveled to many upscale Carribian resorts. There is no match to this one! Breathtaking beach, warm and welcoming staff, the best accomodations. They all work so hard to provide you with the best service, food, the cleanest rooms. Special thanks to the manager Shernette Crichton, she trully oversees every aspect of this incredible resort. One more thing, they do not have cooks, only top chefs.

We stayed with a group in the Villas. Our Villa was 54 right on the water. We had a beautiful room and our staff was very friendly and helpful. We had Patricia our cook make us a amazing authentic Jamaican breakfast one morning. Marlene the housekeeper was always offering to take care of anything we needed. Delton was our go to guy for anything. He was our fantastic butler. We struggled with the idea of being waited on the way the Villas our set up, wanting to do more on our own. Delton, Patricia, and Marlene seemed to be able to sense this, and always offered before just doing. You could tell that their main goal was to make us comfortable and they completely accomplished that.

I have been to Jamaica 9 or 10 times, starting in the early 80's. There is a reason why this was the hangout in the Caribbean for Ian Fleming, Errol Flynn, Noel Coward and others. It is a beautiful place, but it is the undeveloped world which many tourists cannot handle. Yes, there are dangers and one must be vigilant, but island has so much to offer. The food, the music, the green mountains, the waterfalls, the beaches, and the like. There is no reason to go to Kingston or to go to downtown Montego Bay or Ocho Rios at night. If you want to travel get a well recommended driver. The Appleton Rum tour is great and YS Falls may be the best roadside attraction anywhere. Yes, you will get hustled, but that's the rule in less privileged places. As to the drugs - ganja is part of the culture. Just say no if you don't want to smoke. The government is currently going thru a big discussion over legalization. Just be discrete. Half Moon is the British West Indian archetype resort the Caribbean. 400 acres. If you don't want to leave the property so be it.

We just returned from our 7th visit to this resort, and had a terrific time. The staff -- from front desk staff, restaurant servers, beach and pool attendants, kids camp counsellors and housekeeping -- are so friendly and helpful and make you so comfortable that it's hard to think of going to another resort. The property also offers so much for everyone -- adults and children alike. The tennis facilities are great, with lots of courts and many pro's to play with or take lessons from. Our children (8 and 11) were free to roam the huge property on their bicycles and they loved the independence that gave them, and we loved the feeling of safety for them. One of our kids had an allergic reaction to something she ate and was sick all night, and the housekeeping staff was fantastic in helping clean up, asking after her the next day, and even sending one of the chefs to speak with us about her allergic reaction to make sure it didn't happen again. Everyone goes above and beyond in being helpful and friendly. Without doubt, we will be back!
