Just walking from the bus on the street that was parked in front of the entrance to the beach, our path was blocked with people trying to sell us reggae cd’s, bracelets or just trying to get us into their stores.. After spending $40 to get to the beach, $20 to get on the beach, and then another $20 for two chairs and umbrella for my wife and I, the local drug dealer, hair braider, bracelet and sea shell merchant ran their sales pitches not once, not twice, but three times after trying to be nice an politely saying no…

When my wife and I decided to go snorkeling, we did not feel safe at all with leaving our bag with our camera in. We were constantly on guard because of all of the “sales” people on the beach. Three months later, we took our kids on the same cruise. We didn’t get off the boat in Jamaica with them. It's such a shame too. It's a pretty beach and place..

Beautiful beach but was limited to enclosed space. Aside from leaving the beach & walking the street, not a lot of exploring and wandering. Effort to keep street vendors away but weren't too successful & was consistently bothered.

we loved the beach and the views. We were aware of the fee for admittance and the fee for chair rentals. I picked this beach so get away from the "peddlers" but they swim up to you in the ocean. We only stayed for an hour.

This may be the best beach I have ever been to. The staff was friendly and helpful. I went snorkeling which was disappointment because there's very little to see. Great for families!
