“Good Chill Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Emancipation Park is one of my favourite spot in Kingston. As the name suggests, this park is a poignant reminder of a bitter past and the struggles of my forebears for their freedom as depicted by the replica of the male and female slaves. The well kept grounds and the greenry in the midst of a hectic city allows one to breathe some fresh air and simply just relax.

The jogging trail is a most welcome treat in the middle of Kingston - an early morning jog or walk before the sun is up is best, but any time is good to be at Emancipation Park.

“Jamaica's Central Park”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

Emancipation park is a mixed green/activity area in the middle of the city. You can play Chess, board games, table tennis/ping-pong, relax, see open air performances..... There is also a jogging trail which is soft surfaced similar to the lanes on an athletic track. Nearby are hotels, restaurants, cafe's, amusement park for kids, golf driving range, tennis club, night clubs..... So, go emancipate yourself from stress or boredom.

“You may be surprised”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

I like the city its like New York and Chicago. The tourist are discovering the wonders of "Town". Town is what Jamaicans call Kingston. I may be bias since I am from Kingston, but I have traveled around the world and the flora and fauna in Jamaica is second to none. The freshness of the food is delighting to the palatte. Don't miss the beach, go where the locals go, its called hellshire beach. Don't go there expecting beach chairs. Let's put it this way hellshire has arguably the best fried fish and lobster in Jamaica because its fresh catch from the fishermen daily and cooked right on the beach at one of the many rustic eateries. Its the hidden beach that we don't tell tourist about. I always see tourist of many different origins on the beach and they really enjoy the vibes and it is very safe. Nuff said.

“Great outdoor Spot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 25, 2013

This is a scenic park right in the heart of the city. It's a great place for relaxing and enjoying some ice-cream with friends or family, and also for taking photographs. In the evenings, the park becomes busy as you can see many persons walking, jogging, and exercising.

A Jerk spot and an ice-cream parlor are close by for getting refreshments.

“Relaxing or Jogging come enjoy”

This park is like an oasis in a dessert. Lunch break, winding down after work, Saturday afternoon break, evening walk or jog, or Sunday evening stroll -you can do it all here.
