A group of nine visited the factory Oct. 6, 2008. Barbara gave a wonderful tour explaining everything from the coffee cherries to the storage, curing, and roasting of the beans. We saw the beans being sorted by a number of workers. After the tour we enjoyed a taste of freshly brewed coffee. The charge was $5 US per person. Barbara was delightful, answering lots of questions and fun in her explanation of the coffee production process. Don't expect glass covered walkways. You'll be walking around the factory just as the workers do. You have to be physically able to negotiate the steps and uneven surfaces. Worth the price!
