The absolute best hotel in Haiti! The service was first class, and the staff was very attentive. Monica is such a gracious host. Sad that we didn't get to spend more time there. I will definitely return to this hotel for future business/leisure trips. I highly recommend staying here if you are traveling to Port-Au-Prince. The view from the dining room is breathtaking! The food, the rooms, the décor, the overall Inn at Villa Bamboo experience gets a five star!

Bèl bagay!!!

I enjoyed the peaceful serenity of this property. The staff members were always friendly, professional, and most helpful. They anticipated your every need. I especially enjoyed the beautiful and tranquil gardens, waterfalls, chimes, and well equipped gym. The food was always delicious and well presented. I highly recommend this villa for an unforgettable and relaxing experience.

I was fortunate to be one of the first guests at Villa Bambou. This inn has five star service with a homely feel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the proprietor, Monica Ansaldi, caters to your every need. This inn shows the potential of Haiti. The gardens are landscaped with large palms and trees and gives one the feeling of being in a rain forest. The view from the pool and dining area is magnificent, there were times when I lost track of time admiring the view. The food is amazing and each room has its own decor. I love this inn!!!

Room Tip: Stay in room Thyme.

Villa Bambou greets you with the work of local artisans, the sound of running water, the scent of Haitian vetiver, a stunning view of the city, and a sense of calm. This 8 room inn sits in the hills of Port au Prince, and was made whole after the earthquake with exquisite attention to detail. Staff manage the property with the same care, making Bambou perfect for retreats or simply relaxing. Monica is a gracious Haitian hostess, historian, and guide who knows her city and country well. Speak to her when making your reservations for advice on transport from the airport, and things to do during your stay.

If you have chosen to rely soley on media portrayals of Haiti that tend to perpetuate negative images of the country, a trip to Villa Bambou will help you put them in context. There are disparities everywhere in the world, and Haiti is no exception. Much work still needs to be done to rebuild after the earthquake. For those interested in seeing more of what the country has to offer, spend a few nights at Bambou, and experience some Haitian healing.

This is my second stay at the Inn at Villa Bambou and "hands down", the best lodging experience in Haiti that I have experienced thus far!

Monica and Andy Ansaldi (the owners) of the Inn of Villa Bambou should definitely be included in Conde Nast Traveler or Travel and Leisure Magazine's Reader's Choice for Top 100 Hotels and Inns in the World!

The view from the property is breathtaking, the food rivals any high end spa in Asia that I have experienced and the decor would be guaranteed coverage in "Elle Decor" Magazine!

Didn't have a chance to pick-up a last minute souvenir, no problem, they carry the coolest handmade artisan necklaces. Did I forget to mention that they make and sell the "candles" that are burned in the room!

I think I purchased "12 candles" to remind me of this magical experience!

I can't wait for my next trip to Haiti so I can experience again this gem of a property!

"Experience Haiti"
