The setting is fantastic, right on the edge of the water in Saint-Francois. The staff is very friendly and the Owners often work the floor and chat with patrons. The menu is an interesting mix of fresh local Caribbean ingredients prepared and cooked with a strong French influence. The dishes that we had were all excellent! We returned a second time we liked it so much.

I had dinner at Le Zagaya with my family during our visit to Guadeloupe and had a fantastic experience.

The restaurant is well set up and even includes a play area for kids to play in.

The food uses traditional french caribbean ingredients but mixed has some new takes on it, including couscous, for example. Everyones' food was great and we left very satisfied.

Le Zagaya will be THE restaurant experience I remember from Guadeloupe.

One of the few restaurants that had some creativity to the food. Lobster fricasse was delist.
Nice ambiance by the water

We found that the restaurant was excellent. The setting can't be beat since the restaurant's terrace is literally touching the water, by the port.
The night we went was very windy but we opted to stay outside. The waitress (or owner?) nicely offered a pareo to my wife should she get cold but that was not needed.
Looking at the menu I was first reluctant to try the "thon mi-cuit", but asked the waitress for her house specialties and she highly recommended it. I was not disappointed and loved it. So did my wife who liked her lamb entrée.
I would certainly go back to this restaurant in the future if I had a chance.
The service for this restaurant is also top-notch and extremely friendly.
