“A taste of paradise.”
Reviewed March 22, 2014

I had the pleasure of spending Christmas on this gorgeous island and it was simply one of the best holidays I've ever had!
The food is full of delectable spicy surprises and the weather was, of course, "au rendez-vous". Swimming in the sea in the evening was simply delightful. Each beach on the island is just as paradisiac as the next one whilst offering unique experiences.
The locals are warm, friendly and festive They do not miss an opportunity to gather around "on ti punch" (the homemade rum-based mixed drink made with white rum, cane syrup and lime), play dominoes, laugh and simply enjoy life after a long day at work.
Like I've said before in other reviews, make an effort to speak the language and it will make a hell of a difference to the people whose country you are visiting!
Have a tasty time on this little bit of heaven...

“Beautiful sheltered beach”
Reviewed February 25, 2014

This is a very pretty sheltered beach, with very clear water and white soft sand, that does not get hot! The waters here are very calm, the water is warm, this beach is like a picture postcard! This beach runs along St Anne and there are several eating places along the beach and there are several shops and gift shops along the sea front. This is a great place to visit and relax but it can get very busy on times.

“Nice day alternative for cruise ship passengers”
Reviewed February 13, 2014

There very easy to get here from Pointe a Pitre cruise port. It is possible to take a bus from La Darse bus station - ask for it people in the Darse square /10 minutes walk from pier/ for 2,80 Euro /one way. / they go very often all day long.
The way lasts around 30 minutes
The beach itself is very nice, clean, no so much seaweed, calm clear water, soft white sand. The strip is long with more man made lagoons, shade under trees. There are not so many vendors and if yes, they are very polite. Market along the street has many colorfull regional products, fruits and drinks.
Very nice seaside promenade connect various parts of this beautifull beach.
There are stalls and shacks with food and cold drinks
Some parts are crowded in weekends, but beach is wide and everybody can find a place.
Realy nice place.

Loved the market just next to the beach, we bought fresh fruit. Great restaurants also nearby. Beach is crowded, but very lively.
