If you are into 500+ year old history, like the site of the arrival of Christopher Columbus in Guadeloupe during his second voyage, this is a must stop. The site, located right off the national road (N1) in Sainte-Marie, takes less than 10 minutes to tour and take pictures. It includes a bust of Christopher Columbus on a pedestal and a couple of commemorative plaques. An easy stop on the way to other sites like the nearby Longueteau/Karukera Rhum Distiilery, the Chutes du Carbet or the Parc Archeologique des Roches Gravees in Trois-Rivieres.
