Recommended to us by friends & we were so delighted with the food.
First impression is a lovely hotel in a beautiful rural setting.
We found our way to the small comfortable bar area (with some interesting local photo/artwork on the walls) where we chose from the comprehensive menu before being shown to the light & airy restaurant with a beautiful countryside outlook.
The 3 of us chose the delicious delicately flavoured wild garlic & potato soup for our starters and, as there was such a wide choice of mains, opted for 3 different choices - mushroom & veg stroganoff, chicken wrapped with cheese & bacon (yummy loads of cheese) and braised beef - all accompanied by vegas/sides cooked to perfection.
Desserts (only the 2 men had room for desserts) - both the chocolate torte & sticky toffee sponge with caramel sauce were greeted with eager spoons & disappeared quickly!!
Once I heard from the chef that the nutty chocolate brownie was flourless & gluten free - I found room to have a small piece!!
All in all a lovely evening with excellent food - a little gem in the Ceredigion countryside!
Ps. They had a wedding party in the hotel the night we were there but that didn't distract any attention to us or our food ;-)))More
