“A view of the Harbor for a great price”
Reviewed May 31, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We are 4 divers and we always look for a 2 bedroom 2 bath condo for a reasonable price. We definitely found it here. The price was within our budget and we were close to super markets, the harbor, and bus stops. The condo has what you need to get by, but not much more. The internet is fast, and the cable TV has plenty of channels once you figure out how to find them.
The condo itself has one sofa, a desk and chair, and a tall table with 4 chairs. It was a little tight for 4 adults to watch TV, but we made it work.
The porch has a nice view of the harbor, but will only seat about 2 people at a time.
The Kitchen has a microwave, stove, and refrigerator. There is no hot water at the kitchen sink, so we washed the dishes with a lot of soap. There are enough dishes for 4 people, but you will be washing dishes often.
There is hot water in each shower, but not the bath sinks. There is one AC unit in one bedroom, but with the large floor fan, we sucked air from one bedroom and blew it into the other bedroom or living room. Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets, pillows, and sheets.
There are security gates and locks on the doors, but we did not feel the need or them. There is not a safe in the house.
Shirley arranged a taxi to pick us up at the airport and it was about a 15 minute drive to the condo. The one thing I did miss was a beach within walking distance. You needed to take the bus to get to a sandy beach. Bus rides were $2 US anywhere. A good value.

Management Response
Jun 2, 2016
Thank you for your honest review. It was mentioned before the booking that the apartment is not large for four adults, and outside the hotels it is normal in Grenada for there to be hot water only for showers.

We had a wonderful time, and absolutely loved the apartment. It was just what we wanted--one of the best places we've stayed in, and we've stayed in many. The flat was well appointed and situated, and the housekeeper very friendly and helpful. The supermarkets, and fruit and vegetable stores, the local bus stops, were all nearby. And the view from the balcony was sensational. There was nothing more we liked than sitting on the on the balcony with a drink, a snack or a book, admiring the fabulous view, and watching the comings and goings of our Grenadian neighbours. We recommend McQueen's highly.

“Fine wee apartment in a great location”
Reviewed January 13, 2016 for a stay in January 2016

Clean, smart, really well located in a friendly local neighbourhood, this apartment met all our needs.
Within five min walk to the Carenage harbour and lovely Carenage Cafe/bar (with great local food), it has good views of the habpour and colourful St George.
It is failry basica and minimally equipped without any luxury or trimmings, but within easy reach of shops and restaurants. It has a nice wee balcony on which to sit out, watch the world go by and where we enjoyed a beer or two.
The local, ubiquitous, and frequent minibuses are the way to get about locally. For 2.50 EC$ per person one can get to the Grand Anse beach in about 15 minutes, and by walking a km or so further the peaceful and unbusy Morne Rouge beach ( known locally as the BBC beach) with the BBC Plywood bar/cafe is a must. On the top of the hill on the way is a lovely Italian cafe, called "Sweetly Confectioneries", with great pastries and the best espresso coffee we came across on the island.

We enjoyed a drive to the Grand Etang lake and walk along the crater ridge in the jungle rain forest towards Mt Qua Qua. It was very muddy but afforded fantastic views and wonderful experiences of plants and birds in their natural environment. Also the lunch in Melting Pot in Grenville and the visit to the chocolate factory in the Belmont estate rounded off a great day. This was thanks to the lovely, comfortable driver Rubén Japal ( tel 473-444-4925) who negated the narrow twisty roads very competently and safely.

We would return.

“SPECTACULAR”
Reviewed October 3, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This apartment was everything we needed. It was home away from home. Everything was clean prior to us getting there. It comes well equipped with all the essentials, including a fridge, stove, microwave, washing machine, tv, fans, WiFi, etc. The rooms were very spacious along with the closets. The beds were comfortable and I slept like a baby, The bathrooms were nice. Plumbing was not an issue, No complaints. The staff was very nice especially in helping with finding great restaurants and places to shop for groceries. We met the owners, who were always checking to see if they can do anything extra to make my family and I more comfortable. The location was perfect and overlooked the water. There was always a natural sea breeze. Refreshing. We felt safe. The buses ran close by. So transportation was never an issue. My only complaint, we could not stay longer. I will definitely be coming back.

“Great apartment, great stay!”

We were actually booked in this apartment at the top (No. 2) but Shirley switched us to Apt. No. 1 because of the a/c which was much appreciated during the hot August nights. Both apartments are tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and small functional bathrooms. The top apartment has a higher ceiling and a ceiling fan and I guess might have a better view from the balcony? But from both balconies you can just sit and watch the world go by, which we enjoyed, along with the afternoon sun. The near end of Grand Anse beach is a short bus ride away and the town a few minutes walk. Nice to be able to explore the town at leisure and see so much more than the average tourist does. Hope to come here again!

“Great location!”

This apartment is in the perfect location for wandering through St. George's. Just a block above the wharf with groceries and restaurants close by. Lygelle was there to hand over the keys and provided a wealth of knowledge about getting around and where to go and what to do and see.
Ricky was our "go to" cab driver and provided a GREAT tour of the island. His mobile numbers are (473)457-4648 & 418-8951.
Highly recommend both!

This apartment is in a great location on the carenage in St Georges, all the shops, restaurants, and, most importantly for us, bus station were within 5-10mins walk. The housekeeper was very friendly and helpful which made the stay stress-free. The apartment was clean and has AC in the bedroom which was much needed and appreciated! For our two night stay, this was an ideal option (and good value!)
