“A perfect tour of the Spice Isle!”
Reviewed December 27, 2011

What a great way to see a beautiful island! We did the Island Safari tour which visited Concord Waterfall, Gouyave Nutmeg Station, Belmont Estate, Carib's Leap, River Antoine Rum distillery, and the Grand Etang National Park. We met our guide, Michelle, in the cruise terminal and ended up being the only people on the tour (bonus!). The waterfalls were a short walk from where we parked and were beautiful! We forgot to wear bathing suits so we didn’t swim, but it looked like a great spot to swim and there weren’t many people there. After that we went to the nutmeg co-op – what a neat place! The tour guide there was very knowledgeable. Then we made our way to Carib’s Leap, it was a great view and an interesting historical site. From there we went to the River distillery – this was one of the more interesting distilleries or breweries we’ve ever visited (and we’ve been to quite a few!). They process the sugar cane into rum using methods that haven’t changed in hundreds of years. You won’t see any automated bottling or electric machines – instead they process the sugar cane using a water powered wheel. After the tour (with another great guide) we were able to sample the VERY STRONG, but very smooth rum, and even take some home that was of legal proof for airplanes, only $11! From there we went to the Belmont Estate. Here we had another tour (another excellent guide), learned how cocoa is grown and made into chocolate, and had an enjoyable lunch (though probably not worth the price). The grounds were beautiful and we really got an appreciation of all of the spices, fruits, and vegetables grown on the island. It started to rain a bit, so our drive to Grant Etang wasn’t as scenic as we had hoped, but the area was beautiful anyway. After we returned to St. George, our guide offered to show us around the spice market and helped us pick out the best cocoa tea and spices. She was absolutely wonderful – very knowledgeable and helpful. Visited December 2011

“Great tour of Grenada!”
Reviewed April 28, 2011

We had a wonderful time on our tour with Pete's Mystique Tours. Our guide, Michelle, and driver, Justin, were fantastic! We enjoyed visiting Concord Falls, a nutmeg processing factory, the Seven Sisters waterfalls, Annandale Falls, and Grand Anse Beach. We enjoyed their knowledge of the island, including the incredible flora. They were friendly, engaging, and very willing to do whatever we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our day with them and the beautiful island of Grenada!

“Superb island tour”
Reviewed April 14, 2011

Went on one of Pete's island tours. 7 hours long but wished it would never end, however we had a cruise ship to catch. Booked tour before going away. Only my wife and I were on tour so cost was high but Michelle, our guide, and Justin, the driver, made up for it. I did evereything it said in the brochure. The waterfall was lovely, the rum strong and the visits to distillery, nutmeg station and cocoa plantation were excellent. I would certainly recommend this tour to veryone.

“A great day with Peter in Grenada”
Reviewed November 18, 2010

We were on a cruise with the Caribbean Princess and had one day in Grenada. After carefully checking offers in the internet we decided to book with Pete´s Mystique Tours and it was a really good decision. Peter did show us so much all around the island and he brought some fresh bakeries and drinks with him that we could test the taste of the island. He also stopped at a banana plantation and bought some fresh bananas for us. The whole day we got food samples of the island, like creolic bread which we have really enjoyed. We were only 4 people booked on this tour, so we had a lot of space on the really well maintained and like new minibus of Pete. We have been at a muscat nut plantation, a big see where we saw some monkeys and so on. Peter explained us everything and drove us all around the island. When we wanted to stop for pictures he did, so there was absolutely nothing to complain. If I´m going again to Grenada I would book with Pete´s Mystique Tours again. ...I´m sorry for my english...but I´m German..

“Pete's Mystique Island Safari Tours”
Reviewed February 17, 2010

Just back from cruise and a day in Grenada including
Island Safari trip with Pete's Mystique Tours.
Maybe this is not the best island in the Caribbean
but found this rather disappointing - perhaps at least we
could have got to see the highly recommended beach very close
to the terminal to finish the day off.
Not a great deal to see and not too much visual
information regarding flora/fauna etc.
Others do it better on other islands and include refreshments
for the same price
