“Activity, boats, setting, all good.”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

It's not perfect, you can see beer bottles on the bottom of the sea, but the clown fish don't seem to mind, there is very little shade, so wear a hat. Walk round to the Nutmeg Restaurant and try a Roti, they are cheap, filing and delicious.

“a must visit for tourist”
Reviewed August 5, 2014

all visitors should visit the carenage - one of the busiest areas on this small island. this area is mostly for walking around, taking pictures and grabbing a bite. the area around is hilly and you can still see effects of hurricane ivan on many of the buildings.

From the carenage you can also walk to Bruce Street Mall (lots of tourist shops), Sendal Tunnel, the port, Fort George, many shops, and restaurants.

“It used to be great”
Reviewed August 1, 2014

We have been coming to Grenada for 20 years and it was always nice to take a walk around the Carenage, but its gone downhill as most of the shops are closed and they have moved to the mall by the port which is a shame. So it kind of looks like most of our high streets in the UK!
Thankfully the boats are still there and its a nice backdrop but not like it used to be, still nice for a walk and a look at there new fire engine!

“A Must See”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

The Carenage is a very picturesque area. All visitors to Grenada should visit this area. There is a marina here with a wide variety of boats. This area is also always very busy. It lies on the outskirt of the downtown area and makes a fantastic backdrop for photographs. The sunsets here are also very spectacular.
