“Fantastic evening meal”
Reviewed April 6, 2013

Arrived early for some drinks before our meal , 6 of us were led to a lovely seating area whereupon a waiter arrived to take our order , some nibbles were quickly bought out to us , devils on horseback I think that's the culinary term x, 2 of our party are vegetarian so a dish of something suitable was bought out . Then our order for our meal was taken and we were shown to our table and when the food arrived it was amazing , the service was very good , iced water was topping our glasses up ALL night , I did have a problem with the cococnut ice cream in as much it didn't taste of anything , one of our party called a young lady over and explained , she took it away and did agree with me it was bland , and took it off the bill with no fuss whatsoever , I thought that was very good , all in all we all enjoyed our evening from beginning to end , and so far after 6 days in the country and quite a few meals had by all we all agreed this was the best so far ( 1 more to go) ! Thought the service was excellent , the waitress even remembered us coming in to book ! Lovely evening please try .

“You could be anywhere”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

Food was good but surroundings lacked a Grenadian feel. It was the most expensive place we went to and wasnt worth it.

“Go elsewhere if you're after authentic cuisine”
Reviewed March 21, 2013

The restaurant needs a complete overhaul. This place is still stuck in the 80's (Gary Manilow music playing in the background). It felt very stuffy and stiff. The food was o.k. I had to send my snapper back as it was so dry. The clientele are 90% from the UK and over 60. It felt like we were transported on a UK seaside resort vs being on a tropical island. If you want the full Caribbean experience go elsewhere.

This was our second visit to this lovely restaurant. The food was superb, the atmosphere old school elegant and the service very good indeed. A memorable evening.Worth every cent, our favourite spot in Grenada.

“Great food, lovely location and surroundings.......”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

We had a very enjoyable evening at Gary Rhodes' restaurant at The Calabash Hotel. The food was very good, with a reasonably extensive and inventive menu. The decor was great and there was a good atmosphere, albeit, it seems to appeal to the older generation, as we in our mid/late thirties were the youngest people there on both occasions, by a long way! The staff were very polite and attentive.
