In reply to the reviewer who 'never made it past reception' as he was wearing shorts and insists that the website does not mention this - I have just been on the website as we intend dining at Rhodes later this week ( our 4th visit) and find the following note on dress code - Please note that after 7pm and for dinner the dress code is Smart Casual, which excludes, shorts, hats and sleeveless shirts for gentlemen. We have dine at Rhodes each time we visit Grenada (the last time in July 2012) and have always found the food and the service to be superb. It is a restaurant offering fine dining with a ' smart casual' evening dress code which should give a clue to any diners that shorts are definitely 'what not to wear' to dinner!

We found the service here to be excellent. Our table was as close as you can get to the outside which we loved. The food on the island in general is similar everywhere, but we had a good meal here and enjoyed ourselves

We ate at Rhodes last night and found it to be a rather disappointing experience. We had yet to be terribly impressed with the food at the islands other high end restaurants so I felt we embarked on our meal at Rhodes with the appropriate level set in our expectations. Even with lowered expectations, what we found were that our 2 appetizers (beet, fig, and goat cheese tart and the pork fritters) were mediocre at best and particularly so for the price. I actually still incur a bit of a gag reflex thinking about the heavy coating of mayonnaise based sauce that accompanied the salad with the pork fritters. I then ordered the chicken dish which was completely overcooked and, more to the point, was something I could have easily done (better) at home. My husband had the swordfish, which he thought was good but also wasn't anything special compared to other seafood dishes had on the island, thus far. I will give the restaurant credit for good and friendly service, though, as that seems to be a rarity on Grenada in general.

definitely the best prepared food we had on Grenada--very fresh and clean flavours. great service as well. the ambience in the restaurant is a bit lacking with too much lighting and a very poor arrangement of tables which (despite the nice white linens) is reminiscent of a cafeteria rather than a fine dining restaurant which this is. the best dessert ever!!!!

This restaurant is definitely deserving of a much higher Tripadvisor rating. The food was excellent as was the service. The diningroom is formal with starched white linens and set precisely. The night we were there they had a steel pan band playing softly in the background.
Two of our party had barracuda and said it was the best that they had ever had. My husband and I each had a chicken dish, one was herbed and the other done with tomato and Swiss cheese....both equally fabulous, as was the presentation. The guys had dessert cocktails, both were hits, the ladies had the chocolate banana pudding...to die for, it is a must.
We would definitely go back on our next trip to Grenada.
