Description: Expanded and refurbished in September 2009, The Aquarium Restaurant has a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere, right on Magazine Beach with stunning ocean views. Fresh cocktails or lunch under palm trees, fine dining, relaxed lounging… a breezy dining room with two seawater aquariums, bamboo railings and leather couches, a river-stone lounge bar with funky rattan furniture, a new Koi-pond and waterfall from the natural cliff. Local fish carvings and 3D paintings reflect the tropical underwater scenery.

We went here after a recommendation. The restaurant is right next to the airport. Go past the terminal towards La Source, follow the road round to the right and then the left and The Aquarium is on the right. Beware of the incredibly steep hill - parking is a bit of a challenge!
The interior of the restaurant is nice - spacious with an open side that goes directly into the beach.
Service was OK - they had obviously been told to check with customers that everything was OK. This meant that every few minutes someone was asking if all was well - came across as rather insincere.
Food was a bit disappointing. Taste was a bit bland. Certainly nothing special. Portions were a good size.
Wine was good
Overall it was OK but there are better restaurants on the island

The view and location of this restaurant is hard to beat, simply idyllic. We were in a party of 4 at lunchtime and all ate different meals which we agreed we absolutely delicious. The service was similarly attentive and timely. Can't wait to return.

The restaurant is in a lovely location. There was live music on the evening we visited, efficient and friendly service and delicious food. Death by chocolate recommended! We had a great evening and will return.

We had a late lunch here on a Saturday, was very quiet. Difficult to find. Restaurant is set into the cliff face and has a stunning view. Delicious food, the best meal we had on the island. Nice music. I can see that the service is a bit lacking even with only a few tables occupied. Prices are fair compared to elsewhere, mains average 70EC.

We had a sunbed & swim afterwards on the beautiful beach...but watch out for the undertow!

My wife and I were a bit hesitant about dining at the Aquarium because of some of the reviews here. We’re very glad we did. The restaurant is in a lovely location which invites a stroll to its nearby beach. The room itself is well designed and attractive. We found the service to be excellent and the food to be very good. While the wine list is extensive if you purchase by the bottle, very few choices were available by the glass, but we each managed to find a satisfying selection. We started with a shared plate of delicious bruschetta before our entrees. My blackened barracuda was well-prepared and very tasty, as was my wife’s rack of lamb. For dessert I had a wonderful dish of nutmeg ice cream and my wife enjoyed an excellent chocolate cake. Service was friendly and effecient throughout. The bill with tax and tip was only a little over $100, a small price for a great night out.
