Set on a secluded beach the restaurant has an enviable setting. It's not the most elegant or sophisticated but the talented chef elevates the simple food into something delicious which leaves you wanting more and yearning to return - which we did!

We really enjoyed the day we spent on the beach. It's a very pretty bay, and very safe for swimming. We ate at the restaurant and the staff was lovely. They were very proud of the food they served and were quick to point out that the sauces and dressings were all homemade with natural ingredients. The food was excellent and very reasonable. The sesame crusted tuna is amazing as is the chef salad with tuna. I love their beetroot dressing. So fresh and light. All in all, a very relaxing afternoon.

Little more than 30 minutes from the point saline and the airport up the west coast you will find arguably the most tranquil beach on Grenada: La Sagesse.

You will also discover a wonderful resturant, open to the ocean.that serves lunch and dinner daily.

The days specials are written on a white board, and include several fish, chicken and vegetable dishes that sound wonderful. On this day I have opted for the Blackened Grouper. The service is very good and I receive my meal in only a few minutes. Barely enough time to drink my excellent rum punch. It is hot, with the fish and veg done to a turn. My companions were also similarly impressed. A chocolate mouse made with the famous local chocolate for desert topped off a most wonderful afternoon. Quick swim and we're back at Grand Anse before you know it. I'll certainly return as soon as possible.

La Sagesse is accessible from the main Grenville to St Georges road and is well worth the diversion. We had lunch, chosen from a menu board that was brought to our table. The grilled mahi - mahi was excellent, grilled garlic prawns very tasty and the ice cold Carib beer very welcome. Service was friendly and prompt. The view of the palm fringed beach, just yards away was stunning.

La Sagesse was a convenient location for us as we stayed in Westerhall and as a result had a few lunches there. Food and service were great, there was a range of prices to suit ones pocket so overall it worked for us. The setting is second to none particularly for lunch where the view across the sand to the sea is stunning. Around the headland is a hidden beach so anyone wanting to explore with kids or just get away from it all just walk to the end of La Sagesse beach, follow a path through the trees (along side a smelly swamp) for 5 minutes and the new beach is revealed.
