We booked a trip to the Island with locals who stay by the bridge to nowhere. Went over in a small boat and must admit was very nervous on the journey over as the sea was very choppy and we were sailing into the waves (coming back was a lot better) The Island is divided into two parts, one side for the public and the GBP Cayo Levantado on the other. The sand was very fine and the sea a glorious blue that was very clear We enjoyed watching the fishermen bringing in their catch.
