This place was amazing. My wife and I went for out honeymoon from Dec. 15th-20th, 2010. The grounds are beautiful and it is a very relaxing place. We were looking for a place where we could just lay by the pool or sleep on the beach and not have a care in the world. Zoetry provided that and more.

We got in an it was raining and poor weather, and weather.com predicted that we would have showers all week. the rest of our trip was filled with great weather. It was sunny and hot every day after that. We went kayaking in the ocean, got massages, and just relaxed by the pool.

The resort is more secluded than some of the other ones we looked at. So if you are looking to go out and do a lot of activities out of the resort, then this is not the place for you. The food was great, some things were better than others, but every meal there was something that we both enjoyed. The rooms are amazing. Natalia and all of the staff really went out of their way to make our honeymoon great.

If you are looking for a really nice place to relax, then this is the place to go. The grounds look exactly as they are shown in the pictures on the website.

My wife and I stayed at the Zoetry from Nov 28 to Dec 12. We had a ground floor ocean front room #17 which had a deck, plunge pool and a large lawn leading to the beach. We used room service for a few breakfasts and dinners, both times the service was quick and friendly. My wife has a sensitive stomach, the chef prepared special meals for her both at the restaurants and room service. The service on the beach was great we had four different girls looking after us, they were all very friendly and made sure our drinks never went dry. The maids came to our room two or three times a day. We never had any problems with insects in or around are room however between 6.00 and 7.30 pm there were a few at the lobby bar. The beach in front of the hotel is kept very clean. They had a spa special I got two 80 minute Swedish massages for $150. We took the helicopter back to the airport, it was very smooth and quick. Overall Natalia, the GM and her staff do a great job. One thing I would like to see is more English channels on the TV, most of the guests seem to speak English but most of the channels are in Spanish. If you are looking for a very small quiet hotel with good food and service I would not hesitate to recommend the Zoetry. If you need some excitement the Zoetry will make arrangements to shuttle guests to use the casino or disco at one of their nearby sister hotels.

Zoetry is a place that you can get away from it all and recharge your batteries. We all live very fast lives and zoetry is just what you need. We had followed trip advisor and FB prior to our visit and was really looking forward to the zoetry experience. I have to say that we got it

After our long flight from the UK we were met at the airport and driven straight to the resort. The drive was OK and I can say the roads had improved since out last visit to the DR 2 years ago. We were met with a friendly smile and a cold drink and our check in was easy. We were welcomed 'home' and honestly these were not just words, they actually meant it!

We were shown to our beach front room and from then on it was fantastic. Our stay was for 2 weeks and looking from our balcony at the azure sea crashing on the reef was pure heaven.

The staff at this resort set this apart from any other place we have visited. They do everything with a smile and it is really genuine. I have to say that they provide the most helpful and pleasant service we have ever encountered. We were told that if you want something you only have to ask, this is true, nothing seems to be too difficult. The staff take their lead from the GM (Natalia) who is the most hands on, visible manager I have encountered. Most of the reviews speak of Natalia and I can honestly say that I agree with every one of them. Her managers follow her lead especially the restaurant manager who arranged a special birthday treat for my wife which was a total surprise to her and something she really appreciated
During our stay we unfortunately lost the use of the two main pools due to leakage and also this coincided with an increase in the wind strength, which made the beach somewhat uncomfortable. To lose one would be unfortunate but both together was disapponting but we know they were unavoidable and totally outside the control of the resort.

Many people have spoken good things about the food and we both agree with their comments. Everything we had was well cooked and excellently presented. As we were there for two weeks the menus did become repetitive which could perhaps have been avoided by a weekly menu change.

For anyone who wants to get away from it all, be in natural surroundings with superb service then Zoetry Agua is an excellent choice

We would like to thank all the staff for making our visit memorable and providing us with a benchmark that will be hard to beat. Apologiesfor taking so long in sending in the comment

Beautiful property, small (53 rooms), very clean, right on the beach. Staff is very pleasant and helpful (tipping is not necessary but helps). All the rooms are somewhat different. We stayed with two other families, all have children 2-3 year old. I thought this resort is conducive to couples as well as families with children even though its not marketed for children (there are no children activities or anything similar). But this is the place to actually spend time with your children, be with them. Glad we took our tennis rackets. Most of the time we were on the beach and at the pool in the afternoon. There is no action here, just piece and quiet (basically doing nothing and rest). Breakfast can take a long time at the restaurant, the service is rather slow. You are better off ordering breakfast to the room just before you get in the shower. Excellent spa services: good massages, facials etc... Teenagers and young couples looking for action or night life will not find it here. This place is no hip, just zen...

Spent a week in late October through early at the beautiful Zoetry Punta Cana. We splurged on the copter ride in and despite a few communications snafus with the transport company, it was definitely the way to go. On landing we were welcomed home by Natalia and her team, given a brief tour of the resort and taken to our room, and what a room it was.

We visited when the pool was out of order. We had booked a swim out room and were advised by Natalia of the problem in advance. She offered to move us into a plunge pool suite so as to not be inconvenienced and the room was stunning, with a full living and dining room, two chaise lounges out back by the pool and all the amenities you've read about elsewhere. Before we knew it, champagne, ceviche and nachos were set out on our dining table. Yes, we were very happy.

so, the story:
generally, the food was great. Wonderful and varied seafood, excellent salads, nice variety of well prepared meats and decent desserts. Unlike some other reviewers, we did not get bored with the myriad offerings. One caveat, do not order medium rare beef as it may be black and blue. Medium will get you what you want. We ordered breakfast most days and had better luck with timing than going to the restuaruant--45 minutes for eggs is just too long. Room service arrived when requested (though the order wasn't always correct--a quick call or wave to a passing employee--they are everywhere--invariably solved the problem). The coffee cafe was excellent with lattes. teas, pastries, light snacks, smoothies and Kellin--who ran back and forth between the lobby bar and cafe and noticed when his clients used the neighboring internet cafe and brought them their regular drink without asking.

The rooms are nicely appointed with excellent toiletries and amenities, our A/C worked great. Had a bad hairdryer and after requesting a new one from staff and leaving notes for housekeeping we finally took it to the front desk and had a new one the next time we returned to the room. We were surprised during our visit by gifts from the spa one day and a stunning flower arrangment another.

The spa is lovely--we had four treatments between us and visited during the week to enjoy the pool and sauna; impeccably clean and relaxing. Facials ok, deep tissue massage fabulous, mani/pedi standard. Service and attention excellent. We inadvertently booked a treatment in advance of our stay for a time before the spa opens. Nonetheless, we were not just accommodated, but greeted warmly. Nic runs a great facility.

The resort is perfectly designed to provide seclusion should you wish, though there are plenty of activities to engage in. Some days we didn't leave our room until mid afternoon and just ordered in and relaxed. Once the pool opened, we started to see many more people--though fully booked, there were plenty of beach chairs, palapas and none of that "saving space" on the beach you experience at other resorts.

Overall, the service was wonderful, but we have rated it 4 because of the inconsistencies. To a person, the staff is delightful--warm, smiling, pleasant, and helpful.

Despite lots of activity while we were there--corporate types being on the property, pool problems, fully booked house, Natalia was everywhere greeting people, checking in, making sure things were in order and arranging accommodations when problems arose and always with a amile on her face a a bright attitude. Kudos to Natalia who makes this a premier resort.

Let me start by saying I researched TripAdvisor ad nauseum while planning my honeymoon. So rather than list pros and cons I will list reasons why you will love Zoetry and things to be aware of because I wouldn't really consider any of these cons if you know what to expect.

Things to be aware of:
1. Zoetry is far (approx 45mins) from the airport. Make sure you hae your transportation sorted out beforehand for ease. Even then it can be confusing as you are met at the airport by one of an army skycaps who jsut grab you bags and start walking toward the transportation people with little explanation until you find the right company.

2. The resort is very private and intimate. There is only one bar at night and the only entertainment is a two or three man band that plays bachata and merengue music. There is no nightlife here. If you like megaresports with thousands of guests, numerous bars, casinos, shops, and shows then you might want to re-think your trip to Zoetry. (Although in the next section I will explain how to have the best of both worlds.) This is definitely not the resort for hardcore clubbers.

3. This is a tropical climate. If you need to sleep in a freezing cold bedroom and freak out at the sight of a lizzard or mosquito then you might have some concerns with Zoetry. They do a great job of managing the mosquitos and provide Off in every room and at the restaurants and bars, but you may get a bite or two.

4. Variety in the food. Naturally, with an all-inclusive you may expect to get bored with the menu. I couldn't disagree more. There is a 24 hour room service menu and 3 different restaurants with extensive menus. On top of that, each night there is a different international themed menu from which you can order. I suppose the absolute pickiest of eaters may get tired, but I imagine they would run into the same problem anywhere.

5. The vouchers. We didn't use a single voucher. The house wine is more than sufficient and the deals at the spa were fine without the vouchers. They certainly shouldn't make or break you decision to go to Zoetry.

6. The clientele. With a slower more relaxed atmosphere one might expect an older crowd, but that wasn't really the case, at least while we were there. We made friends with four other couples who were very near our age and also on their honeymoon.

Now for the reasons why you will love Zoetry...
1. Absolutely beautiful resort. Just look at the pictures.

2. The food. Every meal we had was a gourmet experience. No cattle call buffets here. You can order unlimited appetizers, entrees, and deserts at every meal, but the portions are the right size. We felt full after every meal, but never stuffed and the food was the best food I have ever had at any resort, absolutely delicious.

3. The peace and quiet. This resort is perfect for relaxation adn rest. You never have to worry about finding a spot at the pool or the beach and you won't be bothered by anyone if you don't want to be, except for the occasional visit from the waitresses to refill your drink. The rooms are very quiet and private as well.

4. The activities. We participated in the horseback riding, wine tasting, rum tasting, cigar class, yoga (a private lesson on the beach), and a couple massage. They were all fun and the groups were small so it is nice and intimate. Natalia is very knowledgeable when it comes to presenting wines which was a nice treat.

5. THE PEOPLE! I have never come across a friendlier or harder working staff than at Zoetry. Christina, the activities director went out of her way to make sure we all had a good time. She knows the guests by name and seemed to be everywhere. She even took a few of us on a bike trip to a local strip mall to buy souvenirs. When a few of us couples wanted a little more lively nightlife she not only arranged for us to go to the DREAMS Resort (A sister to Zoetry) without charge, she went along and partied with us! Nearly the whole staff knew most of the guests by first name and even what drinks we liked. We got hugs on our last day and even a gift from our favorite waiter Ramon. The staff at Zoetry truly makes you feel like family during your stay.

Our honeymoon was perfect even though hurricane Tomas came through the night before we arrived and left less than ideal weather for much of our trip. I was a little concerned that boredom would set in on an 8 day trip at a resort like Zoetry, but it never did. Between the beautiful pool and beach and the fun activities every day we were able to find the perfect balance of fun and relaxation. Add to that the free access to the bigger DREAMS resort for a little more action when we wanted it and I couldn't think of a better place for our honeymoon. Zoetry is fantastic, the peole are amazing, the food is delicious, and I can't wait to go back. If you are looking for a romantic trip no matter what your age than you could not do better than Zoetry Agua Punta Cana!

What an amazing place this is and i have to say it is all down to Natalie and her staff every single one of them go out of their way to make you feel as relaxed as possible and nothing is too much trouble. When you go on holiday most staff are friendly, here everyone of them is they work as a team and it shows in their work ,the resort is spotless. When we arrived there was the after effects of hurricane Thomas and the beach was a bit of a mess seaweed and broken trees all the staff worked together and within days it was clear. The food is amazing with 3 restaurants to choose from and if you want anything different it is no problem but how you would need anything else is beyond me. If you want a totally relaxed and chilled out holiday this is the place to go. The bar staff especially Kenny never forget what you are drinking and they make the best cocktails. All the gardens are beautiful and its obvious a lot of work goes in to them So Natalie if you are reading this thanks to you and everyone of your staff for a fantastic time keep up the good work
