In general, this place is beautiful, relaxing and the food is generally really good. The service is fantastic, both at dinner and in general. The staff took great care of us and were some of the friendliest people we've come across in our travels. The bug situation for us wasn't an issue. The fumigation works apparently as we barely came across bugs (the smell as they drive the fumigation buggy by wasn't a highlight, but we accepted that over the alternative). The swim up to your room pool was also a highlight.

We knew about the construction to expand the resort, and because we expected it, we weren't bothered by that. The main irritation for us was that the week we arrived they closed not only the restaurant by the beach, but also the cafe next to the gift shop. We weren't warned this would be the case and the view the two times we got to eat at the restaurant was greatly missed. (best spot to eat in the hotel!) I get they need to do repairs, but why did they have to dig that restaurant up, and also take out the cafe at the same time? (completely different spot in the resort) The other annoyance was the smell caused by the sewer work they were doing on the restaurant. It was not fun to be downwind of, and doesn't help the relaxing mood.

In general, if that hadn't been going on the stay would have been great, but we weren't warned prior to our trip, and they didn't exactly seem to apologetic about it. (A note under our door the night before they started the construction) For that reason it just irked us the whole time and took something away from what could have been an amazing experience.

Zoerty is a very romantic resort. We enjoyed our quiet time as well as the opportunity to have fun with honey moon couples. (Whoop! Whoop!) Nothing beats a secluded beach with your choice of fluffy beach lounges. Snorkeling was fantastic once you found the sweet spots. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were always delicious and often custom. Room service was a savior and a luxury all included. The resort was so intimate we were always greeted by name. My boyfriend has a blog with all glorious details.

We picked Zoetry for our honeymoon based on the fact that it had a limited number of rooms and would be more secluded than the other resorts in the area. It was a wonderful choice and I would highly recommend this resort. Everything was excellent including the food, staff, service, and rooms. This was a great all inclusive resort. It was very quiet and relaxing. I would highly recommend for couples.

Room Tip: I would book a room on the ground floor that has direct access to the pool.

Overall:
My husband and I were looking for a 'babymoon' getaway in early October 2013. We were looking for an adults-only quiet retreat where we could simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. We got all of that and more during our stay at Zoetry!
Location:
The resort is an hour drive from the Punta Cana airport and the final 20 minutes are a bit rough so be forewarned! Upon arrival, we could tell that the resort would be the quiet oasis we were looking for! There are 50 rooms and the resort was only at 40% occupancy, so it really felt spa-like.
Room:
We stayed in a Junior Agua Suite (#112) and highly recommend this room type. It's on the first floor and the room has a great terrace and personal entry to the river pool that you can't get when you are on the second floor. Since the hotel was so empty, the river pool felt very private!
The room was very spacious and the bathroom was large. The toilet was in a separate area from the shower and tub, which was under a large window overlooking the pool and grounds. The amenities were very nice as well. We had free laundry service, wifi, long distance phone calls, minibar, etc. The only downside was that each morning I was woken by the construction going on. They are expanding the hotel and doubling the capacity. The construction began around 8am every day and definitely woke me up.
Food:
I suppose this was because it was off-season, but during most of our 5 day stay, there was only 1 restaurant open (Indigo) for lunch and dinner. While the menu changed each night, it still would have been nice to get a change of atmosphere. The food was good but not outstanding. That said, it was nice to be at an all-inclusive that had menu service rather than buffets! Each morning we ordered room service for our terrace which was a great way to start the day!
Spa:
The spa looked beautiful but because I am pregnant they couldn't offer me any services or treatments, which was disappointing. It's a company policy, so I understand it wasn't the employees fault, but it was a bummer!
Gym:
There is a small gym that can definitely suit the needs of most fitness enthusiasts!
Pool:
The main infinity pool was well-kept and very serene (again, due to there being so few people at the resort during our stay). They don't require tickets or cards for towels. Instead, they leave towels in baskets around the pool area and you can get them yourselves. Very nice touch. I recommend bringing or buying a float -- so nice floating around the pool and the river pool during the day.
Staff:
The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful during our entire stay. We can't call out any one particular person, but they were all wonderful!

Room Tip: We stayed in a Junior Agua suite (#112). It was great being on the first floor because you have dir...

Taiguey/Good Day-Good Sun

Dear Guests,

First of all, I would like to thank you for the time you have dedicated to share your valuable review with the other travelers on TripAdvisor. It pleased us greatly to hear that all your wishes regarding your cherished babymoon were meet and you found the calm you were looking for at our Zoëtry Agua Punta Cana.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the construction noise that may have disturbed you during your stay. As you know, as part of our expansion project we are undergoing enhancements, however we always pay attention to make you feel comfortable. But we come to realize by reading your comment the fact that, from start to finish, our main goal is to do our utmost to cater every guest need.

A feeling of wellness is exactly what we want strive to offer our guests… we are pleased to know that we exceeded your expectations and that you loved your spacious and well-accommodated Junior Suite Agua as the facilities and privacy of our pool. Indeed, you had direct access to the pool from your room, besides, you enjoyed the spectacular view of our beautiful garden… there is nothing more enjoyable than going out to the terrace and enjoy a delicious breakfast while breathing in the fresh morning air, just to begin the day as you advised!

We regret that we could not surprise you with our menus. Like everything else, we offer a great gastronomic experience that is appreciated by our guests; however we hope to have the opportunity and pleasure to fully satisfy your culinary tastes in the future. As far as the spa services, we are very sorry that you were so displeased. We are studying the possibility of adding relaxing treatments in order to safely pamper our pregnant guests but we have not yet concretized this issue.

Apart from that, I am glad to know that overall you loved our premises and enjoyed a unique experience among us. We hope that you will give us, once again, the opportunity to welcome you at our Zoëtry Agua and show you we can go, over and over, above and beyond your expectations!!!

Namasté,

We picked Zoetry for our honeymoon based on reviews that we read talking about how peaceful it was. Our expectations were high, but they were met and then some. The moment that we stepped out of our car we were greeted with a refreshing drink, a smiling face, and the words "welcome home". We felt relaxed immediately and were especially grateful for the complementary room upgrade that we received. The resort itself felt very private. There are only 50 units, and I think we may have seen about 10 people total the first 2 days that we were there. The views of the resort and the beach are beautiful. The staff was 'over the top' - always smiling and incredibly accommodating. The food was delicious, whether it was at one of the restaurants or room service. We loved the fresh fruit juices and jellies with breakfeast, the breads and plantain chips with lunch, and the seafood with dinner (the red snapper was especially great). One thing we'd recommend is for men to bring a pair of long pants as there is one restaurant that requires them for entry. If we make it back to the Dominican, we would definitely go back to Zoetry with no hesitation.

As a person who focuses on details for a living, I can always pick out things that could be changed for the better...until now!

My husband and I spent a full week at Zoetry Agua for our honeymoon and would couldn't have asked for anything better. We had the time of our lives, we got to do exactly what we wanted, and we were hugging the staff at the resort when it was time to leave. My catch phrase throughout the trip was, "Like a dream."

The resort is a solid hour drive from the airport, so I called ahead and asked if they would set up a transfer for us. Done. It was with Amstar, and the company had a clean, new van with a nicely dressed and safe drive, as well as a company representative who was there only to make sure we arrived at the resort in comfort. When we reached the resort, every single person there seemed to make it their mission to give us the perfect honeymoon, and they succeeded. They prepared special meals for us, we had fast, delicious room service whenever we wanted, we always had a drink if we wanted it, and we were left alone to enjoy our time as well. I hesitate to name names because we did not get the names of the fabulous chefs or the incredible groundskeepers that maintain the immaculate property. However, just a few of the people that made our honeymoon unforgettable were:

Dayanara
Rosalia
Joselito
Giordany
Ency
Manuel
Gilberto
Anderson
Anna
Saidy
Luis
Juaquin
Juan Carlos
Juan Ubiera
Aurilis

The food is delicious and fresh, and the portions were perfect to enjoy the plate and not feel stuffed. The pool runs nearly the whole length of the property and was great to jump in and cool off. The beach was lovely, and is particularly beautiful in the morning when the water is calm and the sun shines straight through it. The rooms are wonderfully comfortable and the showers are fabulous. We bought some delicious cigars in the cigar shop and, after being offered a taste of Mama Juana, we made sure to buy extra to bring home.

Make sure to go to the lobby bar and enjoy the daily cocktails. A visit to the spa is a MUST as the saunas and therapeutic pools are open to all guests for free. We only took the time to go on our last night and this was a mistake! The three-times-daily housekeeping was lovely.

I could go on and on about this resort. It is, hands down, the best place I have ever stayed at and I'd be if I ever find another resort/hotel that is better. We cannot wait to go back!

My wife and I arrived from Punta Cana, after two weeks and we spent an unforgettable vacation at Zoëtry Agua. I stayed for the 3rd time in two years, and I definitely will never get tired of traveling there. Once again, from start to finish, it was a wonderful stay… the staff went out of his way to make our experience unique and accommodate attentively our desires, we were treated so special. We absolutely found what I wanted, peacefulness, privacy and exclusive tailored services. Once I enter the lobby, I feel like in different world comparing to overall Punta Cana resorts. On arrival, we were greeted by the Front Desk Staff, even their Manager was awaiting us and we did not have to lift a finger for anything, we received a fresh towel and the bartender brought us a delicious ginger ice tea.

Our Garden View Suite was immaculately maintained and completely supplied with goodies, daily decoration and excellent maid service. Each offers a sought-after background, right down to the smallest details, it is worth every cent!!!

I loved the dishes prepared by the Chef. Whether it be on the beach, or restaurants, room service, or lobby or whatever the cuisine is delightful, good and fresh, sheer perfection! I spent a blissful holiday at Zoëtry Agua, we always find kindness, special treatment, efficient service, professionalism, cleaning, customer service, security... thank you very much indeed and congratulations!!!
