great customer service from fernando heredia. overall fantastic experience. Side note, do not leave anything unattended, different country, you never know who can take your things and steal them. My wallet was left by the pool, and taken before I came back from getting food

Regarding their comments about lost items, we very much lamented any inconveniences that they have experienced while they were staying in our hotel.

We absolutely love this place! It was our first time to DR....The Hotel was beautiful! Clean!Super Friendly Staff...especially Lillian at the Bar, the Food was Great! The Beach was awesome! Clean Rooms! Thank you to all the hard workers that provided great entertainment, like Juan (Mini Me) Rosario...we loved him...He made our vacation memorable...I can't wait to go back!! I would highly recommend Barcelo Premium Punta Cana Resort!

The location and beach here is fantastic.
But the best thing was trying the trapeze. Its an amazing experience once you conquer climbing that ladder!!!! Jose Luis was very helpful and patient and gave me the courage to do it. He is a great guy and very talented, not only at the trapeze but also in the circus show too!!! Excellente

My friend and I booked a five day all-inclusive stay at this resort. Upon arrival the bell hop took our luggage and directed us to the front desk to check in. There appeared to be at least four different lines of people waiting to be served at the front desk with no clear organization. After waiting in one of these lines for quite some time, we realized that we were on the information side rather than the check-in side. My friend and I had to get in another line and wait for an available clerk. We were still a bit excited about the trip in general at this point, so we were willing to forgive the fact that we were put in a room with one king size bed instead of the double bed room we booked. The saving grace of this hotel turned out to be the external attributes. The beach was AMAZING. The pools were awesome too. However the actual hotel rooms are a bit outdated and details were overlooked. If you happen to bring a laptop make sure you bring an outlet adaptor as they only have the two- prong outlets. Also the food in the general buffet area left much to be desired. I would suggest making reservations at one of the restaurants in the hotel (they're also free but the food is much better.) One final point I would like to make is that this hotel appeared to be geared towards local Dominicans or people who are fluent in spanish. If you only speak English you will run into issues at this hotel. It may be a good idea to bring your own washcloths as well. My friend and I had to battle with housekeeping almost every day to get washcloths and actually went two days without them. I would say in all honesty, if you can find something a little better within your budget, go for it.

Unfortunately, I am not fluent in Spanish and was told this would not be an issue. This was the NUMBER ONE issue at the resort. Upon our arrival the porters were very friendly and helpful with luggage. We then walked to the front desk to be checked in and the only sign in English was "Welcome" and "Check-in" with no designated place to confirm the side for check in or regular inquiries. We waited in line for about 45 minutes and once we reached a representative, her understanding of English was very poor. The organization was horrible and we were assigned a room with one king size bed versus the two double beds requested.

We were directed barely to our rooms and found everything to be out-dated. I am all about culture and appreviation for various outside of mine so I decided to discount that and gaze at the view of the amazing beach and pool. We then inspected the bathroom and realized facial cloths were missing. We found that the durination of our stay (June 27- July 1) we would fight to have someone understand in English to provide along with several calls to the Room Service manager to comply.

We decided to venture for lunch and was told the buffet was closed. They were only open at deignated times during the day sowe were left famished until about 7 that night (this was the case everyday).

The beach was amazing along with the pools!! Ahandful of the staff remained friendly while the majority were more concerned with the parties going on around the area. We were also confronted with instances of prejudice and disdain from both the both staff and guests. This was suprising because we favor the majority of the individuals!! If you are African American, PLEASE BE PREPARED TO FACE THIS!!

All and all, the beach, excursions, and pools were awesome as well as the food in the restaurant (when you were able to get a reservation). The service, rooms and food in the buffet receive an F!!!

All in all, you get what you pay for!!

Room Tip: Corner suites or the best suites available closest to the beach front.

My husband and I spent 3 nights at the hotel. Our stay came with good and bad. When we first arrived the lobby was hot and there was only one person doing the check-in. After 30 minutes of waiting in line, we were sent to get something to eat while our room was ready (it was a little past 4pm). We were given a room in building 6. It had a nice view, but the room itself was out dated. The bath tub was a little clogged, everytime I showered the water would take forever to leave. The toilet stopped flushing, my husband had to fix it. We never reported it though.

Food was alright, staff were friendly but they were always so busy and all over the place it was hard getting someone to help you. Wifi isnt included, which is fine just found it too much money. They were charging $12.95 for 24 hrs and like $27 for 3 days. We decided not to pay for it.

The pools and beach were awesome. We had fun at the night shows and disco. Oh yes, no AC at the Taino Theatre nor restaurants and lobbies. It can get really hot.

I have mix feekings whether I would visit again!

My boo and I had an awesome time at this resort. Staff is very welcoming, friendly and fun. Animation team was THE BEST!!!! Jairo (Jay-Jay) is super nice and energetic, did his job with passion and happy everyday we were there, oh...and he dances merengue very good! Had a lot of fun during every show or competition organized by Jairo and his team. Hello Jay-Jay!!!!
