We vacationed with our group at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana & found it just average. The rooms were clean, but need updating, the resturants didn't accept reservations in advance of the day but you had to stand in line when they opened to get seating that evening. The buffet food was the same several nights, Mexican night was good, but other that Friday night, not much seafood. The service in the buffet was slow, setting the table, bringing coffee, water took forever.
The spa in the hotel accused a woman in our group of conterfeiting a $100 bill, totally , but upsetting , to her & ourselves at hosts of the group. It took a 1/2 day to clear up. We had to talk to the spa manager, security, assistant manager of the hotel,(was borderline rude & very defensive), and finally the manager of the hotel who was kind & helpful and very apologetic. He tried to make it up to our friend with a hotel credit & fruit basket.
The entertainment in the resort was good & the recreation staff very friendly.
All in all, not an experience we want to repeat.More
