“great experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2013

So we called Scape park the day before our trip. We stayed at the resort and they came and pick up up. the Only problem was that we were the first one to pick up and of course last one to drop off, so it took as a while to get there and come back. if I knew that before we would take the earlier time.
buggy ride was so great, if you like to drive you will have a lot of fun. I would recommend to take an extra clean tshirt, and towel and put it in the waterproof bag.
Hoyo Azul is beautiful and if you have a change pls go there. this is one of the places you must to see. water is so nice and clear and it wasnt that cold so I of course went for a little dip.
I wish we could stay there for a little bit longer.
I would definitely recommend this attraction!!!

“Nice place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 11, 2013

It was very nice here, but you don't get much time to swim or enjoy the sight. The people who do this excursion are also rude. They did not talk to anyone on the tour at all. 75% of the tour fit on one bus and went to Hoyo Azul before the four of us. We arrived 15 minutes late and had to leave with the others, even though they brought us late. Our 25 minutes was cut to 10 and they had the nerve to complain that we were taking too long taking pictures.

Enjoyed the buggy ride. Crystal clear waters at Hoyo Azul are refreshing but on account of corals on the bed, not very habitable.

We booked a package through our hotel that was 150 for two people. This included transport to cap cana and back, buggie excursion, visiting juanillo beach (was wonderful). The beach and water was so much nicer than our hotel grounds beach. Then we went to hoyo azul, which is a small hike away from a beautiful, clear blue water hole in a bat cave. The water was not that cold at all and it was an amazing experience. The buggie excursion was not fun at all, pretty boring and I just wish the beach and water hole visit was longer. The whole thing was rushed but it was an amazing experience. They don't have many things to do in this country so I would recommend visiting this!

“Pretty cool, Not a "Must do"”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 4, 2013

Like many others we made it here via our buggy excursion. Fairly busy and overcast when we made it there so we didn't get the "Full picture" of how blue the water could be with help of sunshine. Overall nice to see, but not "life-affirming" by any means... could do without some of the constant hassling you get when there are not as many other tourists to sell goods to (My wife is FROM Jamaica, so I realize people have to earn, doesn't mean it can't get annoying). I wish we would've had more time to naturally bask in the natural phenomenon of the blue hole itself without being on a tight schedule and getting bartered with every second.
Must be able-bodied to get down into the hole.
I also got eaten alive by mosquitoes the 15 minutes we were down in the cave, because of the shadey nature of the cave by mid-morning. Only time entire trip I was bitten at all.
