Description: Located at the beautiful Eden Roc Beach Club, La Palapa restaurant opened in 2003, becoming the first restaurant opened at the Cap Cana residential resort. After experiencing an interesting renovation, La Palapa by Eden Roc, began operations in September 2010, under the management of Solaya Hotels & Resorts, a private firm dedicated to developing luxury hotel projects, which operates the Eden Roc Beach Club, a private beach club in Cap Cana. Solaya Hotels & Resorts' premier property is Eden Roc at Cap Cana, the first Relais & Chateaux property in the Dominican Republic.Immediately after its first renovation, the new La Palapa by Eden Roc fascinated visitors with its unique proposal of pastas, fresh sauces, homemade bread, fish and seafood. La Palapa by Eden Roc is ideal for those who enjoy the authentic cuisine, where each dish is perfectly executed incorporating fresh seasonal products, without losing the simplicity, in a casual, elegant and relaxed ambiance. La Palapa by Eden Roc is a place to enjoy the best cuisine and the beautiful views of the Caribbean Sea. The access to the restaurant La Palapa by Eden Roc is free to the general public. For weekends and special nights, we recommend booking a table in advance. The use of facilities Eden Roc Beach Club (beach, pool) is reserved for members or visitors who have purchased an access pass.

My wife and I are "foodies". We enjoy clean, fresh, nicely presented dishes, coupled with great service. We found it tonight after 3 disappointing meals at other cap Cana marina region restaurants. A 10 minute drive from the cap Cana marina, la palapa is a welcome, refreshing change from mediocre food and service. We had the octopus salad which was served warm.
We both also had the fresh fish of the day, snapper, perfectly cooked. Can't beat the oceanfront dining. This was so worth the extra $. It was a little more spendy than other local choices, but for those with discerning taste buds and appreciation for quality, this the place.

was there on a recent Monday on a long Dominican weekend: at lunch you couldn't find a table but by dinner it was very quiet; we sat out on the ocean front deck
came over from next door's Tortuga Bay Hotel per the reviews from trip advisor.
the restaurant is run by a Venetian and a Spaniard and was super: my steak and my wife's fish were prepared perfectly
in the dark, it is hard to see the waves hitting the beach which would make this place more special and romantic
fun and romantic night

Whilst on a recent 21 night multi-resort trip to Punta Cana we had a tour of Eden Roc as research for another trip to the island and were treated to lunch at La Palapa

This was our 30th trip to the Caribbean and our 11th trip to Dominican Republic. We have stayed in the North of the island twice and this was our 9th trip to the South having stayed at numerous top end resorts such as Excellence, Zoetry, Sanctuary Cap Cana, etc so we like to think that we have a fairly good well calibrated holiday measuring stick

When you approach Eden Roc you can instantly see that it is different to many other properties on the island as it shines out at you with all its brightly painted buildings – the full range of the rainbow

The owners who are Italian have managed to blend a modern Mediterranean feel with a traditional Caribbean twist. Our lunch was absolutely delicious and perfectly cooked – beautifully light, fresh and packed with flavour. The menu was very wide ranging and extensive to suite every taste - have a look at the menus on their website

Their chef’s key emphasis is aimed at using as many seasonal local products as possible to ensure freshness whilst also to importing certain goods to ensure the highest quality possible. The food we had was beautifully presented as well as delicious – a fusion of Italian and international cuisines with traditional local influences

The service as you would expect from such a top range restaurant was impeccable

The restaurants itself is in a perfect setting with the beach and the ocean acting as a backdrop – who could ask for more

It was great to see Ana Luisa Rivas again who is the Groups & Events Coordinator for Solaya Hotels & Resorts as we have known her in similar roles since 2008 and we thank her for her hospitality

Please note that any time you enter the happy world of flipflop_man’s magic moments and memories it is always wise to have a drink in hand as there are always a lot of them to see – we are very lucky people.

Finally, I can well understand why the owners elected to call the property Eden Roc. Eden as a tropical paradise and Roc as it will provide a mythical, magical experience

As always I am happy to answer any questions

During our stay at the Sanctuary Cap Cana as Non-All Inclusive Guest we wanted to see the Caleton Beach Club and enjoy dinner at Las Palapas Restaurant. I had heard that the chef is from Parma, Italy and I was looking forward to a good dinner there. We arrived via the free shuttle service within Cap Cana at the impressive & very beautiful Caleton Beach Club Palapa Structure. A nice gentleman greeted us and told us a little about the day pass fee at the club if we wanted to return for a beach day. It is $30 per person but that amount will be credited towards drinks you purchase during the day. The intirior design of the Beach Club structure was amazing. Nice stonework, antique Canoes and Taino art, Baly style wooden furniture, beautiful pillows and flowers everywhere. Exactly, our style. I am sure the Villas here are amazing and they are all around several beautiful coves with white sand, palm tress, small cliffs and turquoise ocean. THe beach club has a beautiful large pool with all sorts of stylish lounge chairs and beach beds to spend the day on. Same on the beautiful beach. A really beautiful place to spend the day or evening. We walked over to Las Palapas restaurant which is perched on top of the cliffs with waves spashing and overlooking this amazing cove and the villas with palapa roofs. There is a wooden deck with tables and lanterns outside and the dining room is under a large Palapa with tables set up with flowers, nice linens and candles. Perfect ambiance for a very romantic dinner. There was only us and one other couple that night and the service was perfect. The menue interesting and the Mojitos are really good here.
We ordered Tuna Tartar as appetizer and it was so good. And for dinner we both ordered the Seafood Linguini. We have had lots of Seafood pasta over the years including in several parts of Italy but my husband and I both found these to be the best we ever had. It was a wonderful light tomato sauce with white wine (just like in Italy) loaded with tons of seafood including a large langostino on the top. So good! I wish I could go to this restaurant all the time. The perfect setting & ambiance, perfect service and beautiful views. If you are in Cap Cana make sure you have lunch or dinner at Las Palapas!
